• Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering field preferred

Undertake a variety of projects, managing scope, cost, time, risk, resources, procurements, quality and communications in accordance with company policies, processes and procedures, whilst adhering to client contractual obligations. Regular client liaison will take place, managing expectations, and ensuring appropriate stakeholder satisfaction is apparent via pro-active management of project scope ensuring all milestones are met.

· Ensuring all assigned projects are administered in accordance with company’s Quality Management System and to agreed contractual obligations.

· Implementing projects according to contract terms, project goals and objectives, in a pro-active manner, including regular interface with all stakeholders such as clients, certifying authorities, contractors/suppliers and staff/personnel as necessary.

· Ensuring project definition is apparent, clarifying scope, estimates and assumptions with sales team during project handovers.

· Ensuring all appropriate projects are kicked off, their meetings are effective, congruent with the project scope and set the tone for success.

· Attendance to client meetings regarding appropriate project matters as and when required.

· Preparation of project plans in a timely manner.

· Creating and updating project schedules, ensuring critical path activities are understood and communicated.

· Ensuring project procurements are considered in terms of cost, time and quality.

· Understanding project commercial drivers and costs, controlling activities to limit adverse impact upon project finances.

· Preparation of documentation packs for workshop activities to enable efficient product realisation and mobilisation within time demands of the project, ensuring appropriate reviews take place with necessary personnel.

· Preparation of documentation packs for worksite execution (On/Offshore) ensuring appropriate reviews take place with necessary personnel including pre- and post-briefings.

· Ensuring the Design Engineering department is appraised of the project scope such that all engineering activities and calculations are carried out to verify the suitability of equipment

· Where contractually obliged, attendance offshore to assure project execution and fulfilment.

• Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the companies management
• Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
• Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders.
• Attend client quality management meetings
• The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
• Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
• Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.

• Provides assistance to shipyard team and foremen
• Develops departmental plans, including production and/or organizational priorities
• Directs activities in areas of safety and personnel, production, scheduling, material handling and quality and ensures compliance with all Safety, Quality, Company and Regulatory directives
• Review and interpret designs, drawings & specifications
• Directs and coordinates shipyard operations within company policies and procedures
• Responsible for providing the quantity and quality of workers to meet schedule
• Directs all phases of steel fabrication, assembly and erection, piping fabrication and installation, outfitting
• Monitors the performance of assigned supervisors
• Maintains appropriate interface and relations with customers, paying detailed attention to site requirements
• Translates company strategies into tactical plans. Creates and prioritizes necessary resources and steps required to accomplish goals on time
• Establishes all shift production schedules
• Establishes and maintains shipyard production goals to ensure production schedules are met
• Schedules and conducts meetings in conjunction with Manager and Workforce
