Roles & Responsibilities

Drafting Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for electrical and mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, power distribution).
• Update and revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, or LTA requirements.
• Ensure all E&M drawings are in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and LTA regulations.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions for submission to the LTA or other stakeholders.

Coordination Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure the accuracy and integration of E&M drawings with other project disciplines (e.g., civil, structural, architectural).
• Assist in coordinating design submissions and ensuring timely approvals from LTA.
• Monitor design progress and communicate with the site team to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure that any discrepancies between designs and on-site conditions are addressed and incorporated into updated drawings.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in drafting and coordinating electrical and mechanical systems, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience working on LTA or other transportation-related projects is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in using drafting software and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Ensure that the construction works are done according to drawings and within specified requirements.
• Check thoroughly drawings and instructions received and also highlight their discrepancies and work changes to the Project Manager.
• Prepares and submits method statements and alternative proposals as and when required.
• Liaise closely with the client’s representative and other work changes.
• Prepares site records of variation work and other work changes
• Liaise with sub-contractors/suppliers of different trades pertaining to sub-contract activities to be executed on-site
• Report any problems, discrepancies or changes that affect the quality of the works.
• Assist to enforce the Quality Management System on-site, including safety management.
• Assist to ensure that all construction activities comply with the Authority.
• Collate information from Supervisor/Foremen of the different trades to compile and prepare the Site Daily Report including the progress report.
• Assist the Quality Surveyor in preparing the monthly progress claims, VO claims and verifies suppliers and sub-contractors claims.
• Candidates with sound knowledge of Plumbing & Sanitary.

Job Description:

• Responsible to the project stakeholders for accomplishing the project objectives within the constraints such as project scope, time, cost and quality of the project.
• Coordinate and supervise the work activity on site, monitor the daily progress and keep track based on schedule
• Liaise with clients, consultants and main / sub-contractor on project coordination
• Carry out site inspection, analyse and resolve the site problem
• Carry out visual inspection on all installed components of structures
• Ensure the project complies with regulations and clients’ specifications
• Adhere to safety and health regulations and aim for zero accident in the workplace

The Assistant QA/QC Manager reports to the Project Manager and the role involves in ensuring that the processes, products, or services meet established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This role is critical to ensure safety, reliability and performance in meeting the project deliveries.

• Develop and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP) to ensure consistency in standards, procedures, and guidelines in meeting the Project Quality Management System (PQMP) to prevent defects during construction processes.
• Communicate all updates to relevant stakeholders and control the distribution of PQMP documents
• Ensure Sub-Contractors and Suppliers comply with Project’s QA/QC requirement, provide briefing and training if required.
• Carry out audit processes, review procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO and PQMP
• Carry out various inspections and tests on the materials, products and components during various stages and completion of construction.
• Carry out actual inspection, testing and verification of the finished products to identify defects and ensure it meets the required standards.
• Identify areas for process improvements, implement best practices and ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Maintain records of inspection results, deviations and corrective actions taken to ensure traceability and accountability.
• Initiate corrective actions to resolve the issue and prevent recurrence when defects or non-conformities are found.
• Review client’s complaints relating to QA/QC matters
• Collaborating with construction team and other department (eg. Procurement, Technical Departments) to implement quality improvements.
• Preparing and maintaining detailed reports on quality performance.
