Job Description:

• Senior FSM is responsible for ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations and maintaining all fire safety systems. This includes overseeing the implementation of the building's emergency response plan, conducting regular inspections and fire drills, and ensuring fire safety certification requirement are met.

• Conduct routine inspections of all fire safety systems and equipment.

• Identify and rectify any fire safety deficiencies to maintain compliance with regulations and ensure optimal performance of fire protection systems.

• Organise and conduct regular fire drills to ensure building occupants, including users and tenants, are familiar with evacuation procedures and prepared for emergencies.

• Review and update the building's emergency response plan as necessary to reflect changes in regulations, building layout, or new equipment.

• Prepare and submit annual fire safety report to Authority for the renewal of building's fire certificate.

• Ensure that all fire safety measure meet the criteria for certification and are compliant with Singapore fire safety code and regulations.

• Prepare and submit reports to relevant authorities on fire-related matters, including any incidents, compliance issues, and equipment maintenance updates.

• Complete any other assignments related to fire safety that may be directed by supervisor/snr management.

Job Requirements:

• Certified senior fire safety manager (FSM)

• Knowledge in fire safety codes and regulations.

• Experience in fire safety management, facilities managements, defence sector.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree with at least six (6) years of relevant safety experience in supervising installation and maintenance of roadside and civil/structural works, including coordination with government/utility agencies and contractors.
2. Proven experience as a safety auditor/inspector, ensuring compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) practices.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
4. Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
7. Willingness to travel frequently between office and project sites.
8. Flexibility to work on-site, including night shifts, based on project needs.

Job Description

1. Site Supervision: Oversee equipment structures, installations, deployments, facilities, and equipment at project sites.
2. Planning & Coordination: Develop resource requirements, work schedules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for site activities.
3. Work Review: Assess planned schedules and method statements before site work commences to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
4. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all work aligns with design specifications and complies with safety, health, environmental, and stakeholder comfort requirements.
5. Defect Identification: Inspect site infrastructure for defects, damages, theft, accidents, or other incidents, and take necessary action.
6. Safety Training: Conduct safety training sessions to instill safety awareness among site personnel and enforce adherence to safety regulations.
7. Committee Participation: Actively participate in the Safety Committee to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements, including Authority Code of Practices (COP) and WSH, MOH & MOM guidelines.
8. Problem Resolution: Address unexpected issues or challenges that arise on-site, providing timely and effective solutions.
9. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on site progress, resource utilization, ongoing activities, and other relevant updates.
