Responsibilities

Project Management

• To resolve all technical and non-technical issues during the project lifecycle.

Hosted by CNRS@CREATE, the program ‘Carbon Negative production of advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuels using twin synthetic bacterial consortia Project’ (CNegSAF) is an international collaboration between world leading institutions in France and Singapore including CNRS, Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI), National University of Singapore, A*Star (SIFBI), and Nanyang Technological University. CNegSAF aims to demonstrate the feasibility of using a synthetic bacterial consortium to convert green hydrogen and concentrated waste CO2 (released by chemicals companies) into sustainable aviation biofuels. This innovative research program has the potential to significantly contribute to Singapore’s and the world net-zero emissions target while supplying sustainable aviation fuels to the aviation industry.

DESCRIPTION

To join this team, we are looking for a candidate who will be in charge of enzyme engineering activities using state-of-the-art evolutionary engineering and computational enzyme design techniques. The candidate will be involved in the development of screening protocols, construction and screening of enzyme libraries, designed by in silico molecular modelling. These enzymes will be further used for the creation of novel metabolic pathways for terpenoid production in engineered bacterial strains.
The perspective researcher will work in a multidisciplinary environment with access to high-throughput screening equipments (both in Singapore and Toulouse, France) and have frequent and strong interactions with other scientists involved in metabolic engineering, pathway engineering and computational enzyme design.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biochemical engineering or related field
• Experience with enzyme engineering and enzyme library construction
• Expertise with HT screening, assay design and development and trouble shooting
• Experience in structural biology and molecular modelling/computational enzyme design would be a plus
• Preferred experience with protein production, purification, characterization and crystallization knowledge

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and provide advice on vehicle concerns.
• Perform troubleshooting and attempt site recovery during breakdowns.
• Submit comprehensive reports post-recovery for documentation.
• Support equipment testing, diagnosis, and test environment setup.
• Install On-Board Units (OBU) on vehicles when required.
• Collaborate with teams on project execution and ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum Nitec in Automotive, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Possession of a Class 3 driver’s license.
• Fresh graduates or those recently out of NS are welcome (training provided).
• Ability to carry heavy vehicle parts and work in tight spaces.
• Candidates from the automotive industry or with direct experience preferred.
• Able to perform hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities :

As the Software Engineering Manager, you will bring over a decade of experience to oversee a team of professionals, deliver high-quality solutions in building management systems, and ensure successful project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include below:

• Oversee a multi-disciplinary team of developers, engineers, specialists and technicians to deliver high-quality Building Management System (BMS) software solutions.
• Managing the overall project life cycle including development, implementation, testing, and commissioning and maintenance.
• Leading the integration of building services such as Electrical, HVAC, fire protection, into IBMS using protocols like Modbus, OPC, BACnet, SNMP, REST API, Kafka, MQTT.
• Utilizing expertise in Microsoft SQL, Java, C#, Angular, React and Python to manage the development, implementation, and optimization of software solutions tailored for facility management.
• Overseeing the design and implementation of operational networks (OT), including firewalls, switches, routers, PLC, and DDC, ensuring seamless integration with infrastructure.
• Designing and implementing secure and efficient computer networking and cybersecurity solutions to protect system integrity.
• Developing, monitoring, and managing project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality and deadlines.
• Allocating resources effectively to optimize team performance and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Working effectively in a multi-cultural environment across the Asia-Pacific region, fostering teamwork and understanding.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• More than 10 years of proven experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) related software development, or related fields.
• Extensive expertise in front-end and back-end development, advanced computer networking, robust cybersecurity practices, and operational networks encompassing firewalls, switches, routers, PLCs, and DDCs.
• Strong experience in client engagement, attending meetings, and ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Exceptional project management skills, including budgeting, manpower allocation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
• In-depth knowledge of building services such as HVAC & electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and advisory skills, with the ability to guide and support the team.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to create detailed reports for senior management.
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams and oversee large-scale projects in a multi-cultural environment.
