Job Description

· To assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in the daily execution of work.

· To supervise the work of sub-contractors and in-house workers.

· To work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule.

· Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings.

· To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers.

· Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship.

· Attend the daily tool-box meeting and convey clear instruction accordingly.

· Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work.

Requirement

· At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

· Experiences in Structural Steel will be advantageous.

· Possessed of SCWSH (BCSS) is mandatory.

· Highly proactive attitude, self-motivated, team player, strong problem-solving and communication skills.

· Good written and spoken English.

Job Description

• Handle Pre-contract tasks (submission of tenders, prepare bills of quantities, sourcing for suppliersandsubcontractors,draft contracts etc.)
• Handle Post-contract tasks (submission of progress claims and variation orders, evaluate andpreparesubcontractors'progress payments, project budgeting etc.)
• Handle proiect final accounts and contractual matters.
• Prolect administration and documentation.
• Other ad-hociob(s)as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering or other relevant fields.
• Minimum 2 year of relevant working experience as Quantity Surveyor.
• Proficientin Microsoft Excel, Words and PowerPoint.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all cost and contractual issues on Main contract as well as Sub-contracts connected to the project.

A summary of the responsibilities for this position is, and not limited to, as follows:

• Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
• Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
• Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts.
• Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
• Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment
• Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials.
• Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims.
• With the understanding of the contractual legal rights, he/ she will be involved in advising the management on their position of the contract from the tender stage

Skills and Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 6 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities on buildings projects worth at least $100 million.
• Good analytical skills
• Candidates with knowledge in Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Conditions of Contract, REDAS, FIDIC, FIDIC Short Form of Contracts will be an added advantage.

• Oversee steel structure fabrication and installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, safety team and drafter to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare Method of Statement, shop drawing and presentation prior for initiate project.
• Supervise and motivate site team, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Resolve any technical issue, on-site issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials usage, and manpower allocation.
