1. Supervision and Management

• Team Management: Lead, coordinate, and supervise scaffolders and other workers to ensure tasks are completed on time.

• Monitoring Progress: Track and report on project progress, ensuring timely completion of scaffolding activities.

• Dismantling: Oversee the safe and systematic dismantling of scaffolding once it is no longer needed.

4. Inspection and Certification

• Daily Inspections: Conduct daily checks to ensure scaffold integrity, stability, and compliance with safety standards.
• Certification: Issue and maintain scaffold tags and certification to indicate safety status.
• Defect Management: Identify, report, and oversee the correction of scaffold defects or issues.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Daily Reports: Prepare and submit daily reports on scaffold progress, materials used, and issues encountered.
• Incident Reports: Document any accidents, near-misses, or unsafe practices and recommend corrective actions.
• Material Management: Track scaffold materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and proper use.

6. Training and Mentorship

• On-the-Job Training: Train scaffolders on proper techniques, best practices, and safety measures.
• Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance on new equipment, materials, or changes to regulatory requirements.

7. Communication and Coordination

• Client Liaison: Act as a point of contact between site management, clients, and subcontractors.
• Internal Communication: Coordinate with site managers, safety officers, and other supervisors to ensure smooth workflows.
• Problem-Solving: Address issues that arise on-site, such as delays, design changes, or safety concerns.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Certifications: Valid Scaffold Supervisor Certificate and relevant Work-at-Height (WAH) certification.
• Experience: Previous experience in scaffolding supervision, preferably in construction or heavy industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of scaffolding design, load capacities, and construction principles.
• Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication.

The proposed personnel shall have minimum two (2) years of experience in the supervision of works similar in nature to the Works in the Civil Contract.

He/she shall have experience in supervising installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation.

The proposed personnel shall have a diploma in the civil/structural discipline or National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCCS) or equivalent and shall be accredited by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS.

The QSS shall meet the required minimum hours of work per month (Base Monthly Work Hours) which shall be computed based on the normal working hours for the week (forty-four (44) hours a week).

The Senior Chemical Engineer will collate the client’s capacity requirements and specifications and prepare the conceptual design, make a detailed design for system capacity, configuration, schematic, P&ID, PFD, layout, distribution, and system parameters, and prepare documents like the scope of work, reports, specifications, standards, logistics, and detailed drawings for tender. He or she will review proposals from contractors and continue to support them during installation when required.

The successful candidate will work closely with other disciplines such as architects, civil, cleanroom, electrical, automation, mechanical, and construction engineers, as well as CAD/ BIM designer in designing and delivering the project.

Job / Skills Requirement:

You should have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.

You should have sound experience in designing high-purity, and specialty gases and systems related to semiconductors manufacturing or similar facilities. You should be able to comprehend clients’ URS, and design with concept design, schematics, PFDs, P&IDs, routing layout, the scope of work, specifications, and functional descriptions. The experience in designing chemical systems will be definite added advantage.

Your familiarity with the Semi standards and Singapore standards, manufacturing tools, materials, and CAD/ BIM will be an added advantage.

You should be able to make presentations to clients and engineers on design, tendering, project execution, supervising progress, and quality of work.
