Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.

In 2021, Enterprise Singapore, the national standards body for Singapore, had appointed ERI@N as a Standards Development Organisation (SDO) to develop and promote standards under the Electrical and Electronic Standards Committee. Core expertise:

Project management responsibilities include managing the identification, development and promotion of standards meeting key requirements set by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG). These include supporting standards committees under the management of ERI@N in their standard development and promotion work to ensure timely and successful delivery of new and reviewed standards.
