Job Description

Primary Objective

Responsible for overseeing the building of large construction projects, such as commercial structures, roadways, and bridges.

Involved in the areas of pre-planning, budgeting, resource allocation, contract negotiation, and worker coordination.

Supervise construction site personnel and subcontractors, attend weekly project progress meetings, and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations.

Ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects.

Key Activities

• Determine and define scope of work and deliverables, manage construction schedule and activities
• Assess project estimations and budgets, inspect existing structures, create design plans, and review potential safety issues
• Responsible for negotiating the contracts of subcontractors, communicating with inspectors and architects, meeting with construction managers, and coordinating the delivery of materials with vendors.
• Generate reports focusing on project progress, job status, and costs. Attend weekly or biweekly meetings to present progress information to superiors.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, designers and subcontractors to determine the specifications of the project
• Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Manage/monitor all construction works performed and ensure a clear communication line with client, outlining any challenges and providing progress updates.
• Review all contracts to ensure compliance is maintained.
• Encourage team building and ensure a positive working environment for all staff.
• Review work processes and look for improvements where needed.
• Conduct regular planned meetings updating project staff and providing reports for Senior Management.
• Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes

Skills & Requirements: -

• Previous experience gained in a Project Management position within the Civils’ sector (related to HDB, LTA authorities)
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Min 8 years of experience in project management within construction
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction, building and civil processes.
• Site based experience with managing projects and delivering positive outcomes.
• Excellent analytical skills – ability to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits and solve complex problems.
• Effectively use MS Suite of programs including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
• well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce shop drawings & as-built drawings using BIM modelling Creating & managing BIM model.

• Update and coordinate BIM model throughout the project.

• Perform interference/clash checking within own model and /or against other disciplines.

• To deliver all the drawings on time with accurate.

• All other Drafter related jobs.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree certificate in relevant discipline.

• Minimum of 3-5 year experience as BIM drafter in Singapore construction is required for this position.

• Candidate with LTA projects drafting experience will be an advant age.

• Must be proficient in BIM, Revit, Auto Cad & MS Office Able to interpret engineering drawings and models.

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager (M&E Maintenance) is responsible for managing and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems across multiple sites or facilities. This role involves managing a team of technicians, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth operation and timely execution of M&E maintenance projects. The Project Manager will coordinate all aspects of M&E maintenance work, from planning and resource allocation to budget management, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

1. Project Planning & Coordination:

• Develop detailed maintenance schedules, plans, and budgets for M&E maintenance projects across multiple facilities.
• Coordinate with internal departments, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery and resolution of any issues.
• Identify key project milestones, resource requirements, and necessary tools and equipment for M&E maintenance tasks.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for M&E systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

2. M&E System Maintenance & Upgrades:

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire alarms, and other critical infrastructure.
• Ensure that all M&E maintenance work adheres to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Plan and manage upgrades or replacement of outdated or inefficient systems to improve operational efficiency.

3. Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Manage and supervise a team of M&E technicians and subcontractors, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Schedule and allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that work is completed according to safety standards and client expectations.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members on their work performance.

4. Budget & Cost Control:

• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that maintenance work is completed within budget and on schedule.
• Track and monitor expenses, ensuring that costs are controlled, and any deviations are documented and addressed promptly.
• Approve purchase orders for materials, tools, and equipment needed for M&E maintenance work.

5. Risk Management & Safety Compliance:

• Identify and assess risks related to M&E maintenance work and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely, following health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections regularly to ensure that the workplace remains free from hazards.
• Investigate any incidents or accidents that occur during M&E maintenance work and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

6. Client & Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in M&E maintenance projects.
• Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and address any concerns or requests from clients or stakeholders.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure continued business and satisfaction.

7. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure all M&E maintenance work is completed to the highest quality standards and complies with relevant local regulations and industry guidelines.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications or training in Project Management or M&E-related disciplines is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in safety management are an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in M&E maintenance management or related roles, with a strong background in handling M&E systems in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings.
• Proven track record of managing M&E maintenance projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing team performance.
• Experience with managing contractors and suppliers for M&E projects.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, including ACMV, lighting, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.

Summary

Full contract responsibility for monitor and guides the team. End to end reporting to management for the project progress to Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise a group of site staff, engineers. Plan and organise daily work, execution of projects, prepare project schedule, milestone reports, submission and manpower planning
• Participate in the preparation of technical specifications, design requirements, conduct tender site show round for project works and contract management
• Ensure effective project management on the implementation of design, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure all Installation engineers, workers / sub-contractors work is completed in the allocated time
• Ensure safety in the workplace through close supervision and implementation of all safety requirements
• Perform investigation of accident / incident report including recommendation of preventive or improvement measures to mitigate recurrence
• Review of contractor’s resign submission, update of as-built drawing, attendance to site meeting / inspection
• Have the ability to make judgement calls/decisions based on the experience within the industry.
• Ensure that all work to be carried out to the current standards & deliver excellent customer service
• Liaise with office staff to assist in the resolving of queries, customers, subcontractors & suppliers
• Provide suggestions for improvement of practices within the Company
