Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute, NTU is looking for a Research Fellow with expertise in chemical reactors to develop an improved prototype for a thermocatalytic process.

The project is funded by National Environment Agency, Singapore to address one of the largest problems in waste management – the problem of plastic waste pollution. A significant fraction of plastic waste has substandard quality for mechanical and chemical recycling even after sorting and cleaning. The Research Fellow will work on the design, fabrication and testing of a chemical reactor system that will use pyrolysis-chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technology for converting these plastic waste streams (specifically, contaminated and rejected plastics) into multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and hydrogen. The role of Research Fellow is to design a system prototype that can effectively mitigate the impact of impurities from diverse plastic waste streams on production outputs and can be operated in a continuous mode.

5.25 days work week, alternate Saturday.

8.30am to 6pm.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Degree in Project Management.
• Positive attitude, including being self-motivated, responsible, and taking ownership of work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Possess class 3 driving license.

Our company is looking for a Quality Assurance / Management Representative who will perform the following tasks:

• Manage the company's ISO9001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 systems by leading both internal and external audits.
• Monitor and analyze the company's quality and safety performance through the action plans in place.
• Keep abreast of the government requirements as well updates on the standards to ensure compliance of the company's systems and policies.
• Ensure that all statutory licenses, certificates, and inspections of the company's equipment and machinery are valid and up to date.
• Manage and monitor the company's measuring equipment and devices to ensure that they are calibrated as per the required standard of the products.
• Liaise with all external stakeholders such as government bodies (MOM, BCA, SCDF, etc) with regards to company's operation and compliance.
• Communicate with existing customers on their regular audits, non disclosure agreements, and additional requirements which may affect the company's status of being an approved vendor.
• Assist project engineers in securing Certificate of Origin (COO) and / or Preferential Certificate of Origin (PCO) for products.
• Analyze the applicable tariff to be applied for free trade agreement (FTA) purposes.
