• Able to interpret technical/mechanical drawings of geometrical dimensioning and tolerance.
• Able to perform CMM measurement; preferably with Wenzel or Zeiss.

Responsibilities:

• Operate 4-5 axis CNC Vertical Milling Machines and Horizontal Boring Machines.
• Set up machines accurately, including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, based on engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Keep up with the housekeeping requirements at the workstation.
• Carries out duties as assigned by Foreman.

Requirements:

• Preferably 3 to 5 years experience in setting up and operating CNC milling / Turning centre.
• Understanding of tooling criteria, machining applications and process documentation.
• Min ITE Technical Certificate, preferably in Precision Metal Machining.

Job Description

• To install, repair and maintain mechanical equipment both manually and with mechanical tools
• Fabricates parts and sub-assemblies of machinery and related mechanical equipment to drawing specifications, using bench fitting tools
• Dismantles, inspects and refits parts and reassembles mechanical equipment
• Assembles and installs new mechanical fixtures
• Follow strictly to Risk Assessment before work commencement
• Ensure personal safety and others
• Handle tools and equipment with care
• Co-ordinate with other processes for continuous work flow and smoother job completion within job schedule
• Maintain good housekeeping

Requirements:

• Relevant trade certificate or equivalent
• Related experience in mechanical/electrical works
• Able to speak and understand simple English
• Physical works required and able to carry heavy load
• Knowledge on how to use simple tools and principles of fitting
• General knowledge in basic marine/electrical fitting
