The Lead Automation Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of DeltaV automation systems within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies and their application in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation System Management:Design, develop, and implement DeltaV automation systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of DeltaV systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximal reliability.
  
• Project Leadership:Lead automation projects from conception through implementation, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  Coordinate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, quality assurance, and IT to ensure seamless integration of DeltaV solutions.

Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  
• Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  Proven experience in designing and managing DeltaV automation systems in a GMP-regulated environment.

Your expertise

• Extensive knowledge in programming language - Java
• ISTQB Foundation Certification or above
• Sound knowledge of Defect Analysis, Prioritization, Regression Testing
• Proven Test Automation and Test Manager know-how and ability to work with both BA's and Developers
• Requirement Traceability Matrix (mapping stories to test cases)
• Experience with SOAP UI & Postman/Swagger
• Familiar with using Gherkin and MS Azure

Responsibilities:

• Analyze technical inquiries and evaluate client specifications
• Establish technical, application, and process design support.
• Prepare a quotation, including technical specifications and cost estimates for equipment or solutions, tailored to customer needs and budget.
• Develop a technical presentation for the customer.
• Communicate with the manufacturer or a representative to obtain an estimate.
• Collaborate with the draftsman to create the layout and process flow diagram or flowsheet.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical, electrical, chemical or equivalent
• Prior sales experience in architectural building products is an added advantage
• At least 1 year related sales experience

Duties & responsibilities:

• Manage & oversee mechanical engineering projects from the basic/ detail engineering to the commissioning and completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
