Responsibilities
a) Develop BIM models, design plans and/ schematic/calculation for projects (building and infrastructure) at conceptual and design stage for Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works. This also includes Renovation & Refurbishment (R&R) and Additions & Alteration (A&A) projects;
b) Create, update, revise M&E BIM models. Generate documentation, drawings, quantities from BIM models. Ensure BIM quality and accuracy through the use of BIM standard, resolve element clashes / clash coordination, comply with local codes, regulations, authority submission procedures;
c) Provide support on all BIM related matters, such as BIM software trials, improve / set up BIM standards, BIM templates, BIM families, computational BIM tools, BIM Execution Plan, Employer Information Requirements (EIR), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) scanning, incorporate latest BIM requirements / regulations, BIM knowledge transfers and etc;
d) Consult relevant authorities for clarifications and to seek in principal approval for the proposed BIM model and design;
e) Support the calling and evaluation of tenders for consultancy services and construction services;
f) To attend regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Liaise and coordinate with Clients, Consultants and Contractors. Conduct BIM coordination meetings;
g) Review the concept, preliminary design, detailed design and tender documents (such as drawings, BIM models, specifications, cost estimates, schedules) from Consultants and / or Builder and services diversion, if any;
h) Prepare project brief/specification and support cost estimation effort for calling of;
i) Provide technical support and advice to internal departments and clients;
j) Provide technical support to non-building related development and projects, such as innovation studies, evaluation of new system or technologies, M&E improvement / initiatives, knowledge transfer and etc;
k) Respond promptly to technical submissions and queries from external parties, clients, business clusters and companies;

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE MECHANICAL BIM ENGINEER / MODELLER
The Mechanical BIM Engineer / Modeller to be supplied by the Contractor shall possess the following minimum qualification/requirements:
a) At least five (5) years of BIM modelling and design experience for mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects;
b) Experience with contract value of $10 million and above for building and infrastructure projects;
c) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Degree / Diploma in BIM. The Degree in Mechanical Engineering must be from a University recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore and / or accreditation recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore;
d) Possess good knowledge in BIM software such as Revit. Knowledge in BIM software such as Naviswork, BIM360 and design calculation software such as Autosprink, Relux and ElectricalOM and etc will be an added advantage;
e) The candidate must be familiar with BIM modelling, drawings, documentations, coordination and generate drawings directly from BIM software;
f) BIM certification courses from BCA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
