• Assist in investigating and analyzing the root causes of accidents, marine casualties, and near misses.
• Contribute to the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of office and vessel contingency plans.
• Communicate with vessels on safety, navigation, operations, health, quality, security, and environmental matters, including responding monthly to Vessel Safety Reports and Near Miss Reports.
• Review all safety-related reports from vessels and similar reports from other sources.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of sea experience.
• Minimum 3 years of sailing experience as Chief Officer on Chemical Tankers (preferably on parcel tankers).
• Relevant maritime certifications such as Chief Officer’s certificate or Master’s license (an added advantage).
• Experience with Ship Vetting by majors, Ship, and Terminal Operations.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations.
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and willingness to travel.

Responsiblities:

• Perform quality checks on structural, architectural and ensure that the design and construction works comply with all the relevant statutory acts, regulations and practices
• Conduct site inspections, supervise and check the works to ensure smooth progression and timely completion of quality works according to CONQUAS requirement
• Monitor the performance of the workers for all trades and ensure any defects are rectified
• Implement QA/QC procedures
• Ensure safety & compliance of work on site
• Monitor & coordinate project progress
• Control of materials, etc.

• Degree in Building / Civil Engineering or related discipline
• At least 3 years experience in relevant field
• Able to work in Jurong Island
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Mon to Sat (Ability to work beyond normal working hours)

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

• Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
• Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
• Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
• Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
• Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
• Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
• Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
• Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.

Site Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or similar.
• A driver's license.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Additional certificates or licenses may be required.
• Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
