Our client is a IT Service Provider, who provides IT support, computing parts distribution and computing equipment resell. Due to expansion, they are looking out for a Desktop Support Engineer (12 months contract (renewable)) to support them in their growing business.
Location: Raffles Place
Working hour: 9.00am to 6.30pm (Monday to Friday)
Roles and Responsibilies:
· End user support
· Assist in Operating Systems Migration and related support.
· Support and troubleshooting which includes diagnosis of hardware and software failures or problems.
· Responsible for correcting all problems associated to supported list of End User Equipment and Software.
· Installation of software/application.
· Provide accurate and timely documentation in IT Service Management Tool.
· Closing all assigned and resolved Incidents; focus on ticket resolution within SLA.
· Synchronizing application settings to environment requirement.
· Relocation of computer devices and peripherals.
· Setting up of the end users profiles for applications.
· Proactive update and follow up to end users.
· Guide end user on required applicable tasks
· Other adhoc task as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Nitec in IT or higher qualification.
- Computer OS/Peripherals troubleshooting
- Handling Different PC Operating Systems (Windows 7/8 and 10)
- Performing Hardware Software Installation
- Basic knowledge of SOE and group policies- Printer support
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools installation troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Field experience supporting a variety of technologies and services
- Advanced technical abilities including solid troubleshooting skills applicable to Windows, Apple, and virtual operating systems
- Ability to manage time and resources to meet or exceed expectations in high-profile situations while maintaining professionalism under pressure
