Job Purpose

The Project Engineer ensures that all ACMV projects are completed successfully, meeting client requirements, safety standards and within the allocated budget and timeline. The project engineer is instrumental in coordinating all aspects of the project from planning to execution, to deliver a reliable and functional ACMV systems.

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning – The project engineer is involved in the planning phase of the projects, collaborating with other stakeholders to determine project scope, objectives, timelines and budget constraints. He/she work to understand the specific requirements of the project and create a comprehensive project plan.
2. Design and Engineering – The project engineer is entrusted with the primary responsibility for both design and engineering aspects. In cases where there is a designated design vendor(s), the project engineer collaborates closely with them to ensure that the designs are well-engineered and meet the required technical specifications. However, in the absence of a designated design vendor, the project engineer takes on the direct responsibility for both the design and engineering aspects, ensuring a comprehensive approach to meet project requirements. This includes a thorough understanding of ACMV and other related drawings, circuit diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and other pertinent technical documentation.
3. Procurement – The project engineer may be required to be involved in the procurement of necessary equipment, materials and components that are required for the project. He/she will have to ensure that the materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time to the work site.
