• Define overall frontend architecture for yet to be announced web-based enterprise applications based on product requirements.
• Responsible for leading the team to build a functional and appealing web- and mobile-based enterprise applications optimised in terms of loading performance, mobile responsiveness and enhanced user experience.

• Source, seek, hire and fill skills and experience gaps among the Frontend Engineering team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree of Computing, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Over 8 years of related work experience as the core member of the frontend development team in developing functional and appealing web- and mobile-based enterprise applications optimised in terms of loading performance, mobile responsiveness and enhanced user experience, preferably in fast-paced IT industry.
• Strong understanding of Design and Architecture Patterns particularly in frontend engineering of reactive/responsive web applications.

Established in 1981, the School of EEE is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. We are seeking a candidate who will develop, lead and sustain research of an international standard as a technological leader in power systems engineering, and have an excellent record of distinguished academic and scholarly achievements along with a demonstrated commitment to the core traditions of excellence and innovation. As a tenured full Professor / Associate Professor, he/she is also expected to provide academic leadership and excellence in the area of power systems engineering for NTU’s School of EEE.

The selected candidate will be on an endowed professorship and is expected to work closely with NTU’s industry partners in developing capability aligned with the technology needs of the companies in the area of power engineering.

Requirements:

Successful candidates must have:

• A relevant PhD from a reputable university

• Evidence of a developing international reputation in power engineering, for example fellowships, awards, invited presentations at international conferences, journal editorships, etc.

• Established track record of academic publications of international quality

• Proven track record of securing funding as Co-I or lead investigator

• Extensive research and teaching experience in power engineering

• Successful track record of academic/research leadership and team building

• Experience in cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration

• Well-developed understanding of the priorities and strategies of relevant funding bodies

• Successful training and development of early career researchers and/or PhD students

• Strong network and ties with renowned international entities and organisations

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead an innovative research programme of international quality

• Publish high quality papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals

• Secure competitive research grants • Give talks at international conferences, and supervise research personnel

• Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels

• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students undertaking research projects

• Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles

• Contribute to other service-related activities assigned by the School, College and University.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of technicians and operators to coordinate commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards
• Work closely with engineers to prepare and execute commissioning tests, including equipment and system performance verification
• Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during commissioning activities
• Maintain detailed documentation and reports on commissioning progress and results

Pre-requisites

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in commissioning supervision in power plant construction projects
• Strong knowledge of power plant systems and commissioning processes
