Key Responsibilities
Serves as a primary functional contact and technical expert for the Supplier Engineering functional team. Interaction with engineering , operations community, and other functions as required.
Provides technical/expert advise and recommendations to the Supplier Engineering leadership team in the areas of direction, global strategy and development.
Demonstrated mentorship to team members to deliver projects: on time, within budget, with quality and within profit margins. In addition to developing technical capability /skill set of the global supplier engineering team.
Establishes organizational procedures that are consistent with global supplier engineering standards.
Executes, and recommends continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma methodology in execution in areas of responsibilities) optimizing processes associated with group function on an on-going basis.
Serves as a role model and sets the example, whose behavior is emulated by other engineering team members. (Safe behavior, follow proper protocols and procedures, including core values).
Demonstrated industry peer recognition: Technical publication, accomplished BKMs proliferation, proven record of significant contributions within the Engineering Community.
Functional Knowledge
- Demonstrates a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a discipline. The role must keep abreast of new developments in order to help define the necessary changes to policy and practice

- Utilizes highly specialized skills to expand Applied’s technology footprint or customer base or to increase operational efficiencies in support of Applied’s business objectives

Role
We are looking for a proven technical leader for this very strategic management role. This role will provide leadership and direction for global Supplier Engineering and Quality teams with expertise in Precision Machining, Contract Manufacturing, OEM, including Process Power, Automation and Controls. This position is accountable to ensure success of new Supplier Qualifications, manage Supply Chain Quality Performance and resolve Technical, Quality and Operational Issues at suppliers.
The position will based in Singapore and will report to the VP, Operations and Aftermarket Quality.

< >Broad understanding of the semiconductor fabrication supply chain.
Ability to support Applied Material teams with their future and ongoing engagements with third-party providers, defining supplier and quality management. Validated experience in the Supplier Quality role as part of a multi-market business, with a practical application of relevant quality standards and regulations and environmental regulations Exposure applying, facilitating, and guiding quality processes and methodologies or/and designing quality standards, procedures, and specifications for a complex global manufacturing company. Define, plan, establish and manage multiyear supplier quality initiatives including supplier qualification and assessment programs. .Advanced Degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, Ceramics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent We are a catalyst to unlock the power of our customers’ ideas and are committed to overcoming challenges that seem insurmountable.
