The Cross Technology Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a professional second-line remote and/or onsite technical support and field engineering service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.

Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, this role restores service to clients by managing incidents and seeing them through to an effective resolution.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure all requests, process events and resolution incidents result in zero missed Service Level Agreement (SLA) conditions.

The Cross Technology Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L2) is responsible for managing standard and low complexity incidents, conducting routine, repetitive tasks whilst using readily available information and following standard practices and procedures.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Professional level certification in different Data Centre technologies such as Cisco, NetApp, EMC- Ex: CCNP (DC), ONTApp etc.
• Professional level certification in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNP, JNCIP, ACMP etc.

Required Experience:

• Basic understanding of Network routing and switching.
• Moderate level experience in Data Center technologies such as Cisco UCS server platform (B-series, E series blade servers, C-series rack servers), UCS Fabric Interconnects/ UCS Manager
• Moderate level experience in technical support to clients.
• Moderate level experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Moderate level experience providing remote support in Data Center and Storage technologies.
• Moderate level experience in relevant technology (VMware vCenter Server and ESXI, Netapp AFF / FAS, Dell Poweredge, HP Proliant, Microsoft Windows Server, RHEL / Ubuntu Linux)

• Hands-on and customer insights to operate/ administer a cloud infrastructure and firewalls.
• Configuration to high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, aligning to design specifications
• Codify or implement/deploy configurations of automation by default in new projects with proper documentations
• Codify or maintain cloud systems using tools like Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform
• Participate in Cloud Migrations for VMs using tools like CloudEndure with more than 50 VMs migration or Databases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years IT working experience. Working exprience in cloud platform or tools
• Experience in operational/administration and deployment/migration projects in Cloud and Unix System administration
• Significant experience in problem solving, collaboration and communication, cloud technical expertise
• Experience in Networking skills is good to have

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving sales and delivering technical solutions that meet our clients’ needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, as you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, present tailored solutions, and support the sales process from inception through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and challenges.
• Provide technical consultation to customers, offering solutions that align with their operational goals.

2. Sales Support:

• Scout, develop and obtain leads with new customers to develop sales in your assigned territory.

3. Service Support:

• Act as a point of contact for post-sales support, troubleshooting and sales of service.

4. Market and Product Knowledge:

• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge and understand advancements in equipment and service offerings.
• Share insights, feedback and customer requirements with the product development and marketing teams to drive innovation.
• Participate in all company-participated trade shows and seminars in Singapore and abroad.

5. Training and Support:

• Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure proper usage and understanding of products.
• Assist management with any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as and where required.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or related technical field, Minimum Diploma in related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the equipment sales and service industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vacuum pump technology or other technical equipment. Proficiency in technical sales and solution design.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
