Pastry & Bakery Chef Instructor will provide training & instruction to all levels of students and deliver the programme content in accordance with Edutrust Criteria, and Internal SOPs, Policies and Processes and thereby meeting the required quality standards set by the Academy from time to time and championing student success.

Make recommendations on improvements to the delivery of courses, content, knowledge and skills as part of the continuous improvement to achieve excellence and improve our competitive advantage. Follow the relevant SOP’s and required Governance before implementation of recommendations.

Provide support and coaching to students where required to ensure their success and avoid any deferment of withdrawal. Make referrals to Student Services where students show signs of needing support.

Responsibilities & Major Activities

• Preparation for lessons in advance to deliver the required curriculum

• Lead and encourage students to participate in pastry or bakery competitions.
• To be a role model to students and colleagues and uphold At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy standards (grooming, punctuality, honesty and integrity).
• To be proactive in keeping food costs within the allocated budget and seek improvements to reduce food wastes.
• Provide EasyChef Lab and License businesses with faculty support when required

Qualifications

The role holder is responsible for delivering classroom instruction that helps students learn and excel and developing students’ abilities and interest through creative activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functional

• Plans the curriculum for the year for the respective grade
• Develops the lesson plan in accordance with the curriculum guidelines, and presents the lesson plans to the academic coordinators for approval
• Reviews the feedback from the academic coordinators and revises the lesson plans accordingly
• Keeps up to date with the latest teaching aids, such as the use of technology in classroom learning, and integrate these into the teaching process
• Creates challenging and engaging learning opportunities for students, and fosters a classroom atmosphere that is conducive for learning
• Develops worksheets, handouts, and other learning materials in line with the lesson plan and curriculum, as well as the assessments and examinations
• Responsible for the timely marking and correction of assignments completed by the students
• Assess, records and reports on the development, progress and results of students
• Identifies students who may require additional assistance, academic or non-academic, and ensures they receive the necessary support
• Contributes to extra-curricular activities and participates in school activities such as assemblies, meetings and conferences
• Ensures the safety of students at all times.

Interaction

• Collaborates with other teachers to share new ideas, teaching approaches, content and professional knowledge
• Communications and provides feedback to the parents during the Parent Teacher Meetings, and whenever necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate & Bachelor in Education (Specialisation in Subject for Middle teacher & senior teacher).
