This job is extremely tough as you need to be under the hot sun and be in the pool with the students for demonstration, safety reasons, command, and control. It requires loads of traveling from condo to condo. Handling kid's emotional changes, during the class, as your pre-training plan will need to be changed drastically to plan ad-hoc.

As we are building a team of new Swimming Instructors. You have to forsake some time for Quality training and senior Instructors for live class attachments. We wouldn’t sabotage ourselves and throw you onto the battlefield without proper training and live stages.

We don’t need Competitive Swimmers as our Swim Instructors. As our comprehensive training, we can train anyone from a non-swimmer to clear the local Swim Safer 2.0 Gold standard within the first month of training. Within a year or less, you will be required to clear the UK program that requires you to swim 400m in 8 minutes as part of the Swim school requirements. Yes, you are not wrong! It’s a tradition for us, just like clearing the N.S. IPPT. We want you to be proud of your achievement and able to do the same for all our students.

UWCSEA has a vacancy for August 2025 at its Dover Campus for a new position: K-12 Head of English as an Additional Language (EAL). The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a coherent campus-wide direction for EAL as part of the student support team in line with College strategy.

The K-12 Head of EAL will also hold responsibility for leading and teaching EAL in High School (grades 9-12). Our High School EAL programme consists of dedicated EAL classes that incorporate studies in English language and some literature. In grades 9-10 we offer two courses in EAL and English for academic purposes), and prepare students for enrolment in either English B or English A in the IB Diploma from Grade 11. In Grades 11-12 our EAL learners follow the IB Diploma English B course, at Higher level.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the EAL team on Dover campus with special responsibility for the High School team
• Line manage the Heads of EAL (note that the Heads of EAL will also liaise closely with and report to the Principal in their school)
• Represent the EAL team at Campus and College leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making on issues relating to EAL within a tiered support system
• Build a shared vision for EAL as part of the Student Support team (together with Learning Support and Counselling) that is aligned to College Strategy

We are looking for Locum Speech and Language Therapist to be a part of our dynamic trans-disciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals which comprises Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Music Therapist and (Associate)/Psychologist. The team provides a range of rehabilitative and intervention programs to support our client's ability to participate in the community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify the individual needs of clients and formulate, develop and implement appropriate individualised therapy programmes
• Liaise with various disciplines involved in the rehabilitative treatment process

Job Requirements:

• Recognised Degree/ Master in Speech and Language Therapy
• Candidate with 2- 3 years of Speech and Language Therapy experiences
• Registered with the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore as Full Registrant.

Responsibilities

• To teach Chinese language courses for Pre-school to Primary school levels according to the school's curriculum
• Following up with student’s parents on their progress
• Simple daily upkeep.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree or Master Degree (In Education / Teaching, Linguistics / Chinese Languages or equivalent)
• At least 2 to 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
• Passionate to teach and interact with children/parents
• Patient, responsible, cheerful and positive minded
• Good interpersonal skills (in both English and Mandarin) and great team player
• Able to work during day times (afternoons), evenings or weekends, in particular day times

ROLE

The role of Speech and Language Therapists involves assessing clients, planning interventions, implementing therapy plans, evaluating progress in accordance with the given service delivery model for clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in the assigned program. The role also requires conducting caregiver education and teachers training, to equip them with the necessary strategies and skills in supporting the client's learning and development. The role requires working collaboratively in a transdisciplinary team comprising of other professionals, teachers, and caregivers for maximizing the clients’ skills towards independence and active participation in natural settings. The job scope also entails assisting senior colleagues in projects, specialized clinics, research work, performing departmental operational tasks, and participating in continuing education. The individual should possess effective communication, organisation, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements :

Preferred achievements/characteristics:

• Bachelors or Masters in Speech and Language Pathology or Therapy from a recognized

university

• preferred Full Registration under AHPC, or eligible for registration under the Allied Health Professions Council, Singapore.
