• Local Polytechnic Diploma and obtained a GCE O level credit of B4 in English (EL1) or a minimum band 6.5 in IELTS (Academics); OR
• Obtained a Degree with English as the medium of instruction from a state-recognised university
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High tolerance level towards children is an advantage
• Able to work well independently as well as within a team

Upon Completion of course:

You will be conferred the Diploma in Early Childhood Education by recognised awarding institutions and will be qualified to teach Playgroup, Nursery, K1 and K2 children from 18 months to 6 years old.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support in pre-schools in carrying out play, non-structured (i.e, storytelling, songs, rhymes,simple art activities, assist in bringing children outdoors) and routine care activities.
• Ensure basic health, hygiene, safety and nutrition practices for the young children between 0-6 years old.
• Assists the teacher in planning and preparation for daily activities; helps teachers with non-teaching duties such as preparing resources and teaching materials and other assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level/Relief Staff Programme Certificate
• Preferable Experience in working with young children
• Able to work in childcare environment

Job Scope
