Metta Preschool Punggol (慈光幼儿园) has been providing specialized early intervention programs since its official opening on 31 July 2010. We receive cases from SG Enable through hospital referrals, with enrollment following an initial screening process. Job Description

The Preschool English Language Teacher is responsible for planning and carrying out activities in line with the requirements of the ECDA.

This involves developing work schemes and lesson plans to motivate children and imaginatively using resources to help them learn. The teacher will also be responsible for developing the social and communication skills of children and provide a safe and secure environment in which the child can learn. The assigned teacher will need to record observations and summarise the children’s development and maintain cordial relationships with the parents.

We are expanding and need EY2, L1, L2 teachers with the following requirements –

• Candidate must have ACEY, ACECCE, DPT certificates or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience with a similar job scope
• PC Literate

About the role

At Agora Playschool and Preschool, the teaching team create meaningful experiences through its play-based foundation to learning. We help children grow as whole persons, develop curiosity, and strive in the world around them.

Responsibilities:

• Aid the preparation and delivery of appropriate lesson plans based on the 6 domains.
  Help facilitate opportunities that encourage skill, content learning, individual expression and creativity.
  Help to develop strategies and guide diverse learning and development needs.
  Help to motivate students and staff to work productively and responsibly.
  Help prepare and maintain dynamic learning stations.
  Meet regularly with the team to develop planning, assessment, and student progress across the curriculum strands.
  Help to identify children that need extra support to meet class goals across development areas and assist the main class teacher by working 1:1 with specific children when necessary.
  

Requirements

• Fundamentals in Early Childhood teaching is good but not necessary. Diploma or higher qualification. Diploma in Care and Programme (Student Services & Coaching) is an advantage, but not necessary.
  Passion for working with children.
  Great communication and classroom management skills
  Creative, enthusiastic, and energetic, with a positive mindset to learn and grow
