Responsibilities:

• Teach foundational literacy skills to children ages 2½ to 12.
• Conduct structured classes in reading, comprehension, and writing.
• Lead lessons in-centre and online, with travel to multiple locations as needed.
• Prepare lessons, grade assignments, and participate in curriculum planning.
• Communicate regularly with parents to report on student progress.
• Help create a positive, safe learning environment.
• Support open house events and other activities as needed.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Studies, English, Literature, or Linguistics.
• Experience: Preferably two or more years in a teaching role, with experience in literacy or phonics instruction.
• English Proficiency: Fluent in English with clear articulation and strong command of grammar.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging with parents.
• Flexibility: Willing to teach on Saturdays and Sundays and weekday evenings (Schedule: 3 Week Days: 1 pm to 9 pm; Saturdays and Sundays: 9 am to 6:30 pm).
• Professionalism: Team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to upholding high standards of integrity.

Additional Requirements:All candidates must complete a grammar proficiency test, scoring at least 85% to proceed to the interview stage.

Primary Maths & Science Teacher (Enrichment Centre)
Location: Thomson Plaza, Tampines, Punggol, Parkway, Bukit Timah (Discuss the location during the interview but you will need to travel the Centre)
Working days: 4 Weekdays + 1 Weekend (Tuesday - Saturday)
Working Time: 44 hours per week
Salary: $3800 - $5500

Job Description

• Display strong classroom delivery skills according to centre suggested methodology
• Effectively utilise teaching materials to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment
• Mark and grade students’ assignments with value-added feedback
• Perform required classroom administration responsibilities
• Foster good relationships with students’ parents through regular written and/or verbal feedback
• Work together with the customer service team to provide all stakeholders with a positive customer experience
• Attend training sessions and meetings organised by the company
• Participate in level meetings/subject-sharing sessions
• Participate in curriculum development (full-time)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Up-to-date with latest MOE syllabus
• 2-3 years of teaching experience
