Position Overview

Singapore International School Dili (SIS) is a newly established elementary international school in Timor Leste’s capital of Dili. That being said, SIS seeks a founding team of experienced and enthusiastic Singapore teachers to relocate and work closely with the school leadership team to start up and build the elementary programme for up to 80 students in the first year of operations.

The management team is in close discussions with Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and is poised to become the first official International Primary School Leaving Examination (iPSLE) test center in East Timor, pending a final audit. Following this development, the school’s curriculum is based on the Singapore syllabus and all students are expected to sit for the iPSLE at the end of Primary 6.

Being a Primary English, Math or Science teacher at SIS would involve fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The academic team will be responsible for designing engaging lesson plans that align with the Singapore curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methods to make the subjects exciting for young learners.
