Job Description

NUS is seeking for Research Engineer to work on the following topics.

1. Emerging Low-Carbon Technologies: Uncovering the carbon mitigation potential and cost-effectiveness of deployment of green hydrogen, CO2 capture and utilization, renewables-based heating, etc., in hard-to-abate sectors such as steel, cement, chemicals, and aluminum.

2. Existing Symbiotic Technologies: Exploring the deployment strategies of existing technologies related to industrial symbiosis and material/energy recycling to foster industrial synergy and collaborative infrastructure systems for increased sustainability.

Job Requirements

• Possess a bachelor degree in environmental science, energy, chemical engineering, economics, or other related fields.
• Good written and spoken communication.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to present research findings in publications.
• Open to fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical guidance/advice to the various company’s stakeholders concerning matters related to waste management, encompassing secure waste handling processes and cost breakdown analysis
• Collaborate closely with the company’s various departments to establish efficient and economical methods for treating/recovering incoming or customer-generated waste
• Enhance the company’s existing waste treatment approaches, exploring the development of innovative methods
• Assist in the proper segregation of incoming waste materials, allocating them to the appropriate departments, and ensuring safe and proper treatment
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness/organization within the laboratory
• Adhere to the company’s established systems and documentation procedures
• All other adhoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Chemistry or other relevant field of studies
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience

What you will deliver

• Provide quality customer services to prospective and existing clients in a professional manner
• Answer and handle customer’s enquiries, feedback and complaints with high service standards to retain existing customers timely and tactfully
• Work with a team of customer servicing staff in providing full support to clients’ enquiries
• Assist in any ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor and Customer Service Supervisor
• Be responsible for the recruiting, onboarding and offboarding of our partners, including training and potentially working with outsourced contractors
• Perform tasks related to acquiring new partners, ensuring partners are knowledgeable and well-trained

Who you are

• Equipped with 2 years of customer-facing experience/call-center experience
• Mature with a positive attitude, resilient, self-motivated and strong desire to deliver exceptional results with great attention to accuracy and detail
• Customer service-oriented, a good team player with good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility
• Prior experience in Logistics would be a bonus
• Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and other online documentation platforms
• Able to work on weekends/PHs/rotating shifts
