Purpose: To create a Safety First Culture and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety Strategy to manage and reduce workplace risks, protect employees and ensure compliance to all statutory acts and regulations, company safety policies and code of practice by all employees.

Key areas of responsibilities:

• Promote Safety First Culture through safety awareness campaign, toolbox meeting, safety training, townhall meeting and other communication platforms.
• Ensure that all statutory acts and regulations, company safety policies and code of practice are implemented and complied by all employee.
• Work closely with stakeholders to perform and review risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
• Develop and conduct safety training programs based on safety work instructions and risk assessments to ensure all employees can work safely.
• Conduct inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance and ensure that all safety gaps are promptly addressed.
• Lead investigations of accidents and follow up on the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Measure, monitor, and report safety indicators to the Safety Committee and Management regularly to facilitate timely interventions if trends are negative.
• Assist the Safety Committee Chairman in organizing monthly meetings to ensure the effective deployment of safety concerns and policies through committee members.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on matters pertaining to workplace health and safety.
• Provide support for internal or external audits related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA, and any other customer requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum diploma in occupational health and safety or a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a safety officer in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be a Ministry of Manpower registered Safety officer and SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager.
• Proficient knowledge of WSHE legislation and regulations, as well as ISO audit processes.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work as a team player, and capability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:

• Resolutions for filing of Group companies accounts
• Preparation of Letter of Representations
• Typing support
• In charge of the Department’s stationery and janitorial supplies
• Raise Requisition Order (R.O.) upon request by user
• Manage incoming/outgoing mail/fax etc.
• Assisted in Canon copier meter reading records for A/Cs Dept to charge to respective company’s account for their usage
• Support the in-charge accountants on AP and AR when there is a need
• Fire safety
• Safe management measures, tracking staff working from home and any leaves taken are properly approved.
• Leave management
• Appointment, training and traveling arrangement.
• Records of licenses and vehicle registration details.
• Filing or upload and index documents into Document Management System, and retrieval of documents, as and when required

Job Requirements

• ITE certificate or Diploma in Accounting

• 1 year of work experience in accounts or basic understanding of accounting.

Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs. Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy. Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail. Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages. Follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations. Ship all out-going mail and packages. Verify quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to guest. Communicate with guest regarding received packages. Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages. Communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages.

Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
