• Ensure positive cash flow by coordinating collections and working with Purchasing and Project Managers to establish reasonable vendor terms.
• Ensure compliance with all tax, licensing, and statutory obligations, including the preparation and filing of quarterly GST returns and other statutory filings such as ACRA and XBRL.

Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with bankers to manage bank resolutions, banker’s guarantees, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date finance and audit schedules and work closely with auditors and tax agents to provide necessary documentation for annual financial audits.
• Supervise and support the Associate Accountant and finance team to ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all accounts.

Ad-hoc Responsibilities:

• Complete various surveys for the Department of Statistics, BCA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Assist the CFO with Board matters, such as resolutions for guarantees, ad-hoc reports, and investment activities, including due diligence, feasibility studies, legal reviews, M&A, and JV assessments.
• Oversee the Accpac accounting system, troubleshoot any issues, and provide support to the organization
• Provide support to other associated operational units (e.g., Asophir / OSCG accounts).
• Assist the CFO with additional financial and investment-related tasks as needed.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in managing financial budgets across multiple projects.
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Audit experience is added advantages.
• Expertise in statutory compliance and internal controls.

Job Description

• Build and maintain relationships with small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients, understanding their financing needs and business objectives.
• Act as the main point of contact for SME clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses, industries, and market dynamics to provide tailored financial solutions.
• Source and identify new lending opportunities within the SME segment, including prospecting and lead generation activities.
• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and risk analyses for loan applicants, evaluating their creditworthiness, financial stability, and repayment capacity.
• Structure and negotiate loan terms and conditions by lending policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
• Manage a portfolio of SME loan accounts, monitoring loan performance, repayment behavior, and compliance with loan agreements.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 4 years experience in commercial banking, SME lending, or relationship management, with a focus on business development and credit analysis.

Demonstrated track record of successfully originating and managing SME loan portfolios, achieving lending targets, and mitigating credit risks.

Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to evaluate business financial statements, assess credit risk factors, and perform cash flow modeling.

Familiarity with credit underwriting standards, loan structuring techniques, and risk mitigation strategies in the SME lending context.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and negotiate effectively.

Ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
