The General Manager is responsible for relating to the Technical & Manufacturing department activities as follows:
a. To bring and share Japan new technology knowledge and skill into Singapore team.
b. Allocate manpower and plan Environmental Management system to all established goals.
c. To review cost activities, operations cost to determine what is the progress of the department goals and objectives and do an comparison with other ASEAN subsidiaries and Japan.
d. Provide coaching and guidance, for continuous improvement environment.
e. To chair and arrange global meeting with other subsidiaries from Europe, China, ASEAN, and Japan.
f. Review operations and plans to meet requirements to support Singapore and Japan Sales department.
g. Overall responsibility for ensuring that all staff are competency levels are achieved in all aspects.
h. To responsible/ accountable for laboratory performance at Technical & Manufacturing Department.
i. To build up Singapore Technical & Manufacturing department to be the next leader other than HQ.
j. Commitment to the development and improvement of the ISO 17025 Quality Management System.
k. Establish the ISO 17025 quality policy and ensure it meets prescribed criteria.
l. The General Manager shall take ultimate responsibility for ISO 17025.
m. To disseminate top level department from Japan Headquarter goal and target into achievable goal for short-term and long-term work plan.
n. To maintain insight and align with Headquarter goal changes and create pivot planning
o. maintain insight and align department set goal with Sales department Management to achieve target and goal.
p. To lead and create business strategic planning with internal Sales division Management in order to support short-term and long-term budget
q. Prepare budget report on market trend, current & future target etc.. for reporting to Japan Headquarter.
r. Maintain business collaboration partner and customer relationship management.
s. Create the bridging between the Japan counterpart and Singapore Team to solve more issues.
Job Requirements:
· Master’s degree in chemical engineering / Electrochemistry
· At least more than 10 years of working experience in Chemical Industry companies.
· Experience in working in Japanese companies.
· Good in analytical and communication skills
· Familiar with Japanese Language will be advantage
· Fluency in English, Japanese, Chinese (to liaise with customers)
· Proficient is Japanese will be an advantage
