Role Summary/Purpose

This role will be part of Catalyst, the in-house advertising agency of NBCUniversal’s international Ad Sales division that works with household-name clients from across the globe.

We deploy insights into our worldwide audience to develop innovative and inspiring creative solutions across the full portfolio of NBCUniversal properties – from entertainment to sports to news; from TV and digital platforms to events and theme parks.

As a Events & Experience Intern, you’ll support the event team in Asia & EMEA to deliver a range of events – live, virtual, and hybrid.

Essential Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may span the following areas:

• Assist in the production of various NBC Universal editorial and commercial events; support the International Events Team to develop, plan and execute strategic event programs that are targeted at senior executives and policymakers from across industries and governments.
• Communicating with vendors and partners in a timely and efficient manner in relation to Event logistics
• Assist in the audience booking process, including curating the invitation list, identifying potential audience members and acquiring attendees to our market-leading global events
• Source contact information through a variety of channels, including but not limited to desktop research, direct external outreach, relationships with internal and external partners, and acquired databases
• Source external organizations to partner with to attract their member to our regional or global events
• Communicate event details to registered attendees and build relationships ahead of the event to ensure their attendance
• Deliver departmental analysis/reporting, including help putting together presentations and post-event analysis for internal reporting purposes which in turn will influence future decisions.
• Provide global insights through market research and curating of potential audience list for event proposals
• Updating various industry event lists, documents and charts
• Any other tasks related to the organisation and management of the Events as requested by Catalyst International from time to time

Job Description

• Operation of all audio-visual equipment with the aim to provide high quality technical standards
• Setup and teardown of AV equipment, led wall at events
• Setup, program and teardown of analog and digital audio mixer at events
• Setup and teardown of lighting at events
• Serve as sound and lighting technician for events
• Ensure that the audio-visual equipment is tested and in correct working order before use at an event
• Investigate equipment faults and recommend actions to rectify
• Maintain audio visual equipment including routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of video and audio equipment, LED video wall, wireless technology, computers, projectors, and video conferencing equipment
• Coordinate integration with specialty audio visual equipment as needed
• Responsible for cord management & safe set up and dismantle
• Provide regular feedback to Company on communication issues and service improvements
• Liaison with project manager regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events. This will include assistance with PowerPoint presentations, audio and video conferences

General Requirements

• Singaporeans or PR ONLY
• Experienced Sound, Lighting and AV Technician. Live video mixing experience will be an advantage.
• 2+ years relevant experience
• Diploma holder will be an advantage.
• Highly responsible, punctual and good time management

• Team player with good discipline and working attitude
• Service-oriented mindset
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends as required by event schedules

Biking Singapore is a cycling oriented sports and adventure company, which provides cycling training and expedition programs.

We are currently recruiting for a Weekend Coach and Facilitator to coach our basic cycling course, Learn to Cycle program.

As a coach, you will have the endless opportunity to impart valuable cycling techniques and skills to our student. The experience is both challenging and fulfilling with many opportunity to hone your communication and coaching skills.

You will be given structured training to be able to conduct required cycling classes and speech training to ensure the quality of your coaching. We believe that our coaches are the spirit of our company and take extra pride to ensure your quality of training. With this core believe, we endeavour to graduate all our coaches not only with financial rewards, but also a personal upgrading of various soft skills for your personal development.

As a part time coach, your responsibilities are to:

- Conduct Cycling Trainings for Cycling Class
- Assist as cycling facilitators for Cycling Expeditions
- Assist as Facilitator for Teambuilding Events

Criteria:

- Candidates must be able to cycle proficiently
- Have a keen interest in interactions with clients
- Have a good command of English (spoken)
- Able to teach different level of students
- Self motivated, responsible and driven
- Passion for cycling
- Undergraduates pursuing your University degree preferred
- Able to work 2 full weekend or 2 half weekends (10 to 3pm OR 1 to 6pm)

Salary:

- $80 (10 am to 6pm, includes 1-1.5hr break)
- $50 (10 to 3pm OR 1 to 6pm, includes 1hr break)

Review bonus and pay increment available for good performance.

  Help develop promotional materials and event content, including brochures, agendas, and online content.
  

The Successful Applicant

• About 2 years of experience in Conference Production
• Previous experience working with an Event Organizer preferred
• Ability to engage senior level stakeholders for speaking opportunities
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects at a time
