About You

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual, with a “can do” approach. The ideal candidate will also have the initiative, positivity and creativity required to continually improve processes and ease the administrative burden of financial processes on their colleagues.

Essential requirements for the role are:

• A degree level in a relevant discipline. For example, finance, accounting, business administration with a concentration in finance, or similar
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English as well as business-level Mandarin
• A fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and interface confidently with client-facing staff
• The ability to manage suppliers to ensure that we receive an excellent service
• The ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands, as well as prioritising tasks and workload autonomously
• An excellent attention to detail
• An excellent level of productivity, and the flexibility to respond to changing deadlines

Whilst no prior working experience is required for this position, it is desirable. Full training, both internal and external, and mentoring from experienced colleagues will be provided.

The Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process starts with a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team, followed by an assessment for you to complete in your own time. If successful, you will be invited to an interview. Our standard recruitment process lasts around 1 month however, this can be adapted if necessary.

The role will ideally commence in early 2025. However, we have start dates available every month of the year and you will be asked to state your availability on your application form. Whilst there are no set application deadlines, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible so that we can begin processing your application. The role will close when a suitable candidate found.

Our Accounting Firm needs you to perform the following for our clients:

• Handle full sets of accounts for SMEs client
• Preparing of financial data for entry into accounting system
• Bank Reconciliation
• Prepare Management Accounts
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare tax computations
• Prepare goods and services tax
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Training provided
• Diploma in accountancy (with or without experience) / Degree in Accounting / Ongoing ACCA / ACCA graduates / LCCI Higher
• Experience with accounting software is an advantage
• Eager to learn and able to work independently under pressure
• Positive attitude, meticulous and someone with initiative
• Possess strong honesty, integrity and confidentiality
• Good communications and interpersonal skills, able to speak Mandarin is an advantage (to liaise with Chinese speaking associates)

Training & Development

Key Responsibilities:

• KYC and Account Opening: Conduct thorough KYC procedures to gather client information and required documentation for account opening. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to collect necessary information and address any inquiries or concerns regarding account opening procedures.
• Bank Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with banks, coordinating account opening processes and resolving any issues or discrepancies as needed.
• Compliance Oversight: Assist in maintaining compliance standards by staying informed of regulatory updates and ensuring adherence to industry guidelines. Collaborate with the compliance team to implement and enforce compliance protocols.
• Financial Reporting: Work closely with the finance department to track investment returns, monitor financial performance, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
• Product Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of financial products and services to support the trading desk in submitting operations and completing research data.
• Sales Support: Assist the sales team in organizing presentations and providing relevant financial information to clients as needed.

• To perform picking and packing, incoming receiving, wrapping, labelling and issuing.
• To provide support on daily warehouse activities.

Requirements:

• GCE N level or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
