Primary Function

Organize and control day-to-day operations of the Laboratory in accordance with order requirements, client standard operating procedures, industry standards, and policy directives. To ensure accurate and timely completion of test results and no unnecessary delay occurs.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

• Organise and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory in their respective sections. This includes allocation of tests to technicians, sample pick-up and manpower planning.
• Prepare worksheets and ensuring client requirements are met.
• Verify test results/records of analysis and initiate re-test when necessary. To check and ensure that all data are complete in the datasheet.
• To sign Analysis Report or Certificate of Quality upon completion of work (NOTE: only approved signatory can sign SAC endorsed report).
• Coordinate and assign staff to work overtime when necessary.
• In liaison with the Laboratory Operation Manager, to raise and update standard and in-house test methods and procedures.
• Assist in the development and training of staff to required levels of expertise and administer performance appraisal methods.
• Co-ordinate activities to ensure that the Laboratory provides a high standard of service and satisfy
• Ensure sample storage is properly maintained and disposed.
• To recognize that the Laboratory Quality System is fully implemented as per the QA Manual.
• Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained at all times in the laboratory.
• Perform analysis when required.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management, including testing and analysis during periods of heavy workload. To be on call 24 hours a day 7days a week for queries from lab staff.

Competency Requirements

• Possess Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in petroleum or petrochemical laboratory industry.

1.Seafarer Payroll Management:

• Manage and oversee payroll for all assigned vessels, ensuring accuracy and timely payments in accordance with seafarer contracts.

5.Issue Resolution and Training:

• Address payroll-related inquiries and disputes from seafarers and their families, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
• Provide onboarding training for Master on payroll processes, allotment procedures, and financial policies.

6.Coordination and Communication:

• Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Crew Operations, Accounting, HR) and external stakeholders (e.g., manning agencies, port agents) to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Prepare necessary correspondence for internal and external parties, including Masters and Accounts departments.

7.System and Process Optimization:

• Monitor payroll systems for efficiency and accuracy, working with Crew manager and IT to implement updates and troubleshoot issues.

8. Audit and Risk Management:

Qualifications:
• Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience in facilities operations management

Main Responsibilities

–Report to the Operations Manager

– Check the schedule on a regular basis for arrival times and changes in them

– Gather and transport all supplies needed for the set up of a function including but not limited, silver, china, linen, skirts, glassware, condiments etc.

– Set up buffet tables according to One Paradise and function requirements with a creative flair.

– Properly set all tables, side stations and the back of the house areas for functions according to service standards

– Report any incident to immediate superior and followed up with the events report

– Assist in the placement of any food items in a function room for a display or a buffet and the ability to serve from buffet line

– Serve, prepare the proper mise-en-place for any function

– Serve all food and beverage function according to the standards set forth by One Paradise

– Attentive to the needs of all the guests in the function room providing them with dependable, punctual and enthusiastic service

– Ensure all tables and the function room is clean and neat prior to leaving for the shift

– Ensure all food and beverage items to return the kitchen or to the Supervisor of the Function

– Ensure all condiments including salt, pepper, sugar, flowers, skirts, and candelabra go back to store

– Service all functions including plated, buffet, silver- served or VIP meals, coffee breaks, benefits, theme parties, weddings, receptions, outside catering etc.

(A) What the role is:

The associate will be part of a team among operation managers, designer, and engineers, to carry out communications of the values and features of uParcel and her umbrella of services. This is to ensure continuous engagement of current clients and conversion of potential customers.

He/she will implement effective integrated communications and engagement strategies through both digital marcoms and social media.

(B) What you will be working on:

• Analyse the key competitiveness of uParcel's services & promotions - from storage, commerce, to same day delivery, especially within the Singapore and Malaysia markets, in order to develop a corresponding marketing communications strategy that will drive business objectives.
• Subsequently, identify key messages and target audiences, tailor campaigns to resonate effectively, and continuously monitor industry trends and competitors' activities to refine communication strategies.
• Transform technical/complex information into compelling concepts/stories and scripts for publicity materials including videos, animation, and graphic designs.
• Conceptualise, write, and copy-edit publicity materials.
• Hands-on design of visual contents and scripting/filming/editing of basic social media assets.
• Manage and oversee the content calendar.
• Experiment and implement variants of the communication plans across engagement platforms. This includes the uParcel app & web, issues and notification management, new launch announcements, email outreach, blogs for SEO, and social media.
• Monitor and measure the performance of the campaigns to suggest what to adjust until we reach the business outcomes.

(C) What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in mass communication or related fields
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong experience in social media and creation / management of digital assets
• Familiar with Adobe and Figma software for graphic contents
• Basic filming experience, and video editing skills with Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or CapCut equivalent
