The Role

As a Marketing and Business Development Executive, your role is to develop and oversee marketing strategies and campaigns to help grow brand awareness. This role will encompass creative, analytical, digital, commercial and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

● Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing communication campaigns

● Good understanding of the products and producing content in line with the brand’s standards and brand’s DNA

● Ability to generate and confidently present competitor analysis and reports

● Undertake detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met

● Liaise with external vendors to ensure completion of all work within the timeline and budget

● Ability to apply marketing knowledge to the company’s marketing communications

● Writing copies for both online and offline marketing collaterals

● Maintain a consistent approach and producing high quality of work

● Identifying new business opportunities by researching market trends and industry shifts

● Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners

● Working with internal teams to create strategies that meet market and client needs

● Continuously monitoring the performance of business initiatives and adjusting plans as necessary

● Understanding the company's product positioning in the market and keeping tabs on competitors

● Collaborating with the sales team to generate leads and secure new clients

● Organizing and attending events

● To be involved in all marketing-related activities across the team and to support the other departments (eg, hosting clients and giving store tours)

Requirements

● Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Marketing or related studies

● Ability to write well

● Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role will be required for the Executive role

● Candidates with no prior experience would be considered for the intern role

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Young Audience Executive to manage and expand Tamil Murasu’s digital presence among younger audiences. The role involves content creation, social media management, and developing innovative ways to engage with Gen Z and millennial Tamil audiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about Tamil culture, fluent in digital storytelling, and adept at creating engaging and visually appealing content.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute creative content strategies tailored to attract and retain young audiences on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Create, edit, and publish high-quality social media posts, reels, videos, and other multimedia content that resonates with Gen Z and millennial audiences.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to align content with Tamil Murasu’s voice and strategic goals
• Manage Tamil Murasu’s social media accounts, ensuring consistent posting schedules and audience engagement
• Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to refine strategies and boost reach.
• Respond to comments and messages promptly, fostering a sense of community among followers
• Analyze social media data and produce relevant reports or updates that inform social media content direction
• Brainstorm and produce innovative content formats, including interactive stories, challenges, and gamified elements, to increase audience participation
• Stay updated on social media trends and incorporate them into Tamil Murasu’s digital strategy
• Edit videos and images for social media
• Ensure content is optimized for platform-specific requirements (e.g., aspect ratios, captions, hashtags)

Job Requirements

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Video Production, Journalism, or any relevant fields
• Effectively bilingual (English/Tamil) to be able to cater to the Tamil Murasu audience
• Proven experience in managing social media accounts and creating content, ideally for young audiences
• Proficiency in video editing, graphic design, and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut)
• Deep understanding of digital trends and Gen Z content consumption patterns

This role will be on a contractual basis and will end in March 2026.
