Job Description

The incumbent will act as a key member for one of the most sought-after Master’s programmes at the NUS Faculty of Science. The dedicated person will work with the programme manager to ensure the smooth delivery of the self-financing programme and ensure its service standard. By working with the Programme Manager, Programme Director and the Deanery members at the Faculty of Science, he/she will contribute to the Programmes’ end-to-end administration including admission, programme management, alumni relations, and other related portfolios. Duties & Responsibilities
Research:

• Carry out assigned experiments under initial guidance and then independently
• Organize, preserve, and present the results of the experiments in a logical manner
• Record all assigned experiments and results properly and systematically
• Analyse data and design subsequent experimental workflow
• Assist in supervising, training and guiding attachment/undergraduate students as required

Administrative duties:

• Assist with lab housekeeping and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, cancer biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or related field

The Research Assistant will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator (PI) and his study team to successfully deliver research outcomes in the areas of ageing, stroke and cardiovascular diseases.

Familiarity and experience with molecular, cell biology, staining, advanced microscopy techniques, and computational analytical methods will be considered favorably.
