The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Dept of Medicine at NUS is a very large research-intensive department and is dedicated to the advancement of human healthcare in Singapore first, but also beyond. Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator (Assoc. Professor Peter Goon) and other study team members to ensure the successful completion of their research studies (Virus-associated cancers with emphases on pre-cancer detection, host immunology, virology, and potential treatments, Skin cancers and drug reactions) on time. The RA’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as recruitment, data collection, laboratory experiments, data entry and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will liaise with the relevant personnel in hospital to smooth the process of recruitment and data collection and will be accountable to the Principle Investigator (PI). The RA will be able to:

1. Oversee the general management of the project;
2. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as organizing regular meetings to maintain regular communication with other members of the research team and collaborate with the study sites;
3. Undertake the day to day running of the project at the study site, e.g. Collaborate with team members at the study sites, laboratory experiments, recruitment, data collection at hospitals/participants’ homes;
4. Conduct literature searches, using SPSS to enter data, and analyse data and maintain trial database, as well as assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the project;
5. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures;
6. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. Have a first degree with good results or holds a Bachelor degree in medicine or science-related disciplines;

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in World History, with no preference for regions. Key Responsibilities

1. Facilities and Housekeeping Services

· Be familiar with the housekeeping and facilities services of the premise and the safety aspects pertaining to work processes relevant to the department’s functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an entry level position to support the team in managing the 8days Eat TikTok channel, which includes (but not limited to) uploading content, SEO & data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Perform uploading of content to assigned platform(s).
• Ensure the content schedule is mapped out in timely fashion.
• Track performance, analyze and optimize performance of the uploaded content on the platform.
• Work with Editorial team, content creators, Growth Channel Management Team to develop best practices and optimize content performance on the platform.
• The role primarily focuses on 8days Eat TikTok channel but the scope of work can extend to other 8days social media accounts as well.

• Ability to communicate well and work with a team of editorial, channel management specialists as well as content creators.
• Keen understanding of social media (TikTok) content and audience behavior.
• Good understanding of platform quirks.
• Strong organizational and analytics skills.
• Meticulous and detailed.
• A passion for social media content.
• Experience in social media space in channel operations / audience engagement.
