• Work with students who have varying degrees of learning support needs.
• Ensure that students adhere to the school’s behaviour policy.
• Prepare work and activities in accordance with the objectives set by the teacher.
• Assist the teacher in helping with the student’s physical needs, whilst also encouraging independence.
• Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, prepare art and craft materials, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom
• Use positive discipline techniques at all times.
• Maintain and build relationships with children and parents.
• Being part of the team, you will participate in parents and community engagement activities.
• Give feedback to teachers on students’ progress.
• Any other related duties as requested by the Head of School.

Requirements:

• Be a passionate educator with the ability to deliver inquiry based learning.
• Creative and inspiring with loving energy.
• Diploma in Early Childhood.
• Care and Education preferred.
• Prior experience in a classroom environment preferred.

Role Overview

We are seeking for Assistant to Teaching Specialist who can seamlessly integrate into our team and make an immediate impact. Reporting to the Team Leader for Education, the candidate will assist the Special Education Teacher in classroom management for children with learning difficulties. Together with the Special Education Teacher, you will assist to manage behavioral and academic challenges, and deliver quality education for our students, while in alignment with our philosophy and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Implementation:

• Assist to deliver programs in alignment with the organization’s philosophy and established guidelines.

2. Professional Standards:

• Assist to execute tasks professionally and adhere to stated guidelines.

3. Teaching Material Preparation:

• Assist to develop teaching materials tailored to each student’s goals.

• Assist to document teaching methods and track achievement of goals after each lesson.

4. Documentation and Records Management:

• Assist to maintain comprehensive documentation and filing of all student-related materials.

Technical Skills & Competencies

1. Teaching & Behavior Management:

• Familiar with Singapore MOE syllabus.

2. Students Communication & Problem-Solving:

• Engage effectively with students to address their concerns and collaborate on solutions to support their development.

3. Application of Psychological Theories:

• Assist to apply psychological theories to practical teaching scenarios.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Experience: Experience in Special Education is a plus.

• Candidates without prior experience, including fresh graduates and A-level students, may apply.
