You will be part of the HR shared services team that provides HR operational support to all NUHS institutions in accordance with our service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicators (KPIs). The scope of HR operational support covers the entire end-to-end employee lifecycle administration ranging from onboarding through to employment contract management and offboarding.

Job Responsibilities

• Support HR-related inquiries received from employees via email.
• Manage the inquiries using available system, this includes logging of the cases received, re-assigning to other teams where the inquiries cannot be answered by HR Support Centre, to closure within SLA.
• Create and maintain HR-related frequently-asked questions (FAQs) on the intranet and HR chatbot.
• Keep the HR Support Centre knowledge database updated.
• Prepare regular and adhoc reports for management analysis.
• Participate in activities to promote the services of HR Support Centre, such as the design of posters and roadshows.
• Assist with HR Operations work matters as assigned, such as follow up with vendor on background screening report for candidates, respond to reference check requests received for former employees, verify vendor invoices and prepare information for audit exercises.
• Identify potential areas of improvement and be part of the team to develop suitable solutions to improve productivity, enhance work quality or meet service delivery gaps.
• Any other duties deemed reasonable and necessary by the business.

• Oversee all HSEQ programs, generate status reports, and assist in the preparation of tender documents.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of a positive safety culture.

Requirements:

• Internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified
• Diploma in HSE/Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of HSE experience in Marine/Shipping/Ship repair industry.
• Knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, incident investigation techniques and risk management.

• to support Head of Art & Design and primary teachers in aspects of art curriculum aesthetics, helping them to attain educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leading Responsibility

• To lead and coordinate the Teaching & Learning Assistants (TLAs)and work with the Heads of Year in the year group aesthetics;
• To provide CPD for TLAs in quality aesthetics;
• To provide and maintain aesthetic and technical support across the Junior school;
• To assist with the installation and aesthetics for Junior musical performances;
• To assist in the aesthetic set-up for Junior school special days, festivals and celebrations;
• To assist in the aesthetic set up of internal areas (e.g. Admin Offices) and high profile external displays in the Junior School;
• To attend meetings in liaison with Head of Art in planning aesthetic elements of Junior school environment;
• Research and purchase of materials for aesthetic elements of school display;
• To establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and outside agencies;
• To assist the Head of Department in the ordering, purchase, delivery and storage of materials; and
• To work closely with Head of Department to monitor local and overseas orders.

2. General Classroom Organisation

• If necessary, organise and provide resources and materials as necessary for art lessons;
• Ensure the correct supplies of art resources are ordered.
• To monitor and maintain the safe and efficient use of the premises, specialist equipment, tools and materials.

3. Administration and Co-Ordination

• To help to develop and organise the administrative procedures of the department.

4. Communications

• Communicate clearly with students and develop a working rapport;
• Communicate confidently with teachers and their assistants;
• Be the first point of contact for telephone calls and queries from other areas of the school, informing the teaching staff as required;
• Contribute to departmental team meetings if appropriate; and

5. Information Technology

• Have an up-to-date knowledge of software that can be used to display art and photos
• Use the existing ICT programs & software available to enhance displays, exhibitions or administration

6. Specialist Knowledge

According to the qualifications, experience and interestof the individual post holder, be able to contribute to some of the following specialist activities:

• Photography
• Photography artwork, display, art projects for the purpose of design work
• Staff and pupil photographs for Junior School for the purpose of display

7. GENERAL

• Work in other areas of the School on other job related tasks as circumstances require
• Maintain a standard of personal image in keeping with the requirements of the school
• Be responsible for reporting any concerns about a child to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Job Description

This is an administrative position in the Research Office. The Research Office supports grant management, research agreement review, the Departmental Ethical Review Committee and other research administrative functions.

Duties & Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Vice Dean (Research) and the Manager of the Research Office, the Senior Executive/Assistant Manager will be part of the team to support the core duties of the Research Office:

a) Grant Administration
- Advise researchers on grant guidelines and requirements.
- Provide administration support to researchers throughout the entire grant cycle from grant application, grant awarding, budget and expenses tracking, reporting of project status and project closure.
- Be the point of contact between researchers and various administration departments to support the management of research projects.
- Manage grant calls and be the liaison person to the funding agencies.

b) Research Agreement
- Support researchers to draft, review, negotiate and execute research agreements, working closely with researchers, collaborators and internal and external legal offices.

c) Departmental Ethics Review Committee (DERC) Secretariat

- Provide ethics review from reviewing applications, communicating feedback, reviewing amendments to processing review outcomes.
- Organise DERC meetings and keep records of DERC's reviews and outcomes.

d) Research Office
- Organise research seminars and meetings.
- Report research metrics for the School and researchers.

Qualifications

• Applicants are expected to have at least a Bachelor degree from a recognized institution.
• Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in an administrative position within the academic, research or healthcare sector.
• Candidates with experience in research administration, grant management, agreement review, research ethics, research compliance or database management will be at an advantage. Fresh graduates with some research experience may be considered.
