Role: Customer Service Officer for UOB Bank

Location is UOB Bank Alexandra Building, Alexandra Road

Job Responsibilities

• Inbound call handling for Accounts servicing, campaigns, products enquiries and helpdesk enquiries;

• Fulfillment follow through on case handling and with customers.

• Ensure group compliance & control standards are observed and met in the execution of customers’ enquiries, transaction requests and maintaining confidentiality of Bank and customers’ information

Job Requirements

• Minimum of ITE, 'O' levels

• Experience in Call Centre, Banking or Customer Service (calls and correspondents) environment will be an advantage.

• Possess a positive mindset with a “CAN-DO” attitude a and passion to deliver quality customer service.

• Possess a pleasant voice, excellent comprehension, communication, interpersonal skills and work etiquette.

• Possess good command of written and spoken English.

• Good analytical skills; passion for working and is good in working with numbers.

• Resourceful, proactive, results-driven, attentive to details and a good team player who likes to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

• Passion for working, responsible and with good working attitude.

• Proficient in PC skills including MS Office applications.

• Ability to work on rotational shifts (Morning & afternoon)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work Coordination:

• Arrange technician work orders and update supervisors.
• Track and follow up on outstanding technical issues.

2. Administrative Tasks:

• Manage Purchase Requisitions, Orders, and vendor follow-ups for invoices and deliveries.
• Maintain organized filing systems for department documents.

3. Communication:

• Handle phone calls, emails, and complaints professionally.
• Draft letters, memos, and reports as needed.

4. Record Management:

• Update maintenance records, schedules, and department files.
• Ensure proper documentation of contracts and organizational charts.

5. Support and Reporting:

• Assist in preparing and submitting monthly reports.
• Order and manage maintenance supplies and tools.

6. General Assistance:

• Perform tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
• Prior administrative or technical support experience is a plus.

As the Customer Service Officer, you will work directly with customers to meet their needs, answer their questions and provide support.

Job Description(s):

• Answers customer inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, email, and/or in-person
• Performs call and email follow up with customers.
• Generate sales leads with selling products and promoting services
• Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
• Develops a rapport with customers
• Attends monthly staff meetings
• Makes recommendations to management to improve customer experience
• Assist with placement of orders, renewals, refunds, or claims
• Go the extra mile to engage or service existing customers

Job Requirement(s):

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree and above in any field
• General Insurance experience (with BCP, PGI and ComGI Cert) and navigation of insurance portals are an added advantage
• Entry candidate with the right skillsets and attitude are welcome to apply
• Proficient in speaking both English and Mandarin (for liaison with Mandarin speaking customers)
• Possess relevant experience in call center or customer service environment preferred
• Know how to genuinely have fun in an environment charged with people energy
• 5.5 days work per week; Mon-Fri : 9am-6pm; Sat : 9am-1pm

• To conduct ward visitation for inpatients and ensure patient’s confidentiality at all times

• Handle feedbacks from all channels and provide appropriate follow up actions/ service recovery
• To prepare gifts and presentation for hospital’s festivity celebrations
• Participate in projects and assist in events
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by FOM

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in any discipline
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)

Qualities required for this role include:

• Customer service oriented and good team player
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferably with at least 1 year of customer service experience or in the service industry
• Open to shift work arrangement
• Patient and compassionate towards guests and patients
• Bilingual and knowledge of a foreign language will be an asset
• Good telephone etiquette

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide an independent credit opinion on the credit applications submitted by the business unit
• To ensure compliance of credit applications to Regulations, Credit Policy Principles, General Underwriting Standards, etc.
• To review the credit and to make recommendations to aid the credit decision-making process.
• Preparing industry reports, performing stress testing, credit monitoring, updating Policy Manuals, etc.

Requirement:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in corporate banking
• Relevant qualification
• Strong communication skills
