-troubleshoot and rectify electrical problems

Job Responsibilities:

a) Assist and support the Project Management team in project execution:

• Prepare shopdrawing and design calculation report such as cable sizing and etc

• Liaise with client on technical requirements

• Liaise with consultant or authority for the approval of design

• Provide technical support and advice on design and engineering to the project team

• Assist project team with technical advice to installation team

b) Assist and support the Business Development team in tender or proposal submissions:

• Conduct site survey and prepare feasibility study report

• Perform technical assessment such as Shading analysis PVSyst simulation, consumption analysis and etc

• Prepare tender documents for submission

• Prepare costing for commercial proposal

c) Familiar with Authority requirement and IEC standard or equivalent for renewable system installation

d) Maintain and update renewable system components list

e) Assist in the development and upgrade of engineering tools

f) Provide support for team members in other regions

g) Liaising with new and existing vendors/suppliers for price lists and up-to-date product and service information with the procurement team

h) Liaise with other teams to gather feedback on design and costing for continuous improvement

i) Ad hoc task assigned by the reporting officer

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering field (Electrical engineering background would be an advantage)
• At least 2 years of working experience in renewable industry
• Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and adept at applying requirements to design effectively
• Familiar with Autocad, PVSyst and Sketchup
• Quick learner, goal-oriented team player with strong communication and troubleshooting skills

The applicant must be:

• A Marine Engineer whose working experience will include Failure Modes and Effects Analysis for DP Equipment Class 2 and 3 vessels as a team member and independently witnessing DP FMEA Proving Trials and Annual DP Trials in the capacity of third-party surveyor.
• Familiar with IMCA DP related guidelines and with the requirements of Oil Majors, including ASOG development and implementation.
• Familiar and experienced with inspections of vessels working in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors.
• Willing to take on new roles such as superintendency and project management of vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings.
• Willing to travel overseas and offshore when required.
• Analytical, able to work independently, results orientated, resourceful and pro-active.
• Able to independently develop competency and practice continuous professional development.

Qualification

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• IMCA Accredited DP Practitioner.
• IMCA eCMID Accredited Vessel Inspector.

Experience Required

The Projects Engineering will have at least two years’ experience working with vessel Dynamic Positioning Systems (DP) as a consultant or independent verifier.

The Site Engineer (Civil) is responsible for assisting the PM on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project. He/She will be required to:

• Monitor and review master construction program and preparation of catch-up program, if applicable.
• Monitor and supervise Workheads/Foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical diculties.
• Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
