Arup is seeking a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis Leader to oversee central FP&A operations and ensure the alignment, accuracy, and compliance of our financial processes. This senior leadership position will help shape our finance transformation, working closely with global teams to streamline operations, enhance data integrity, and support our sustainability goals. This role is a temporary contract role, up to 6 months only.
The Opportunity
• Lead the design, implementation, and daily operations of financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, CAPEX, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
• Manage and motivate a high-performing global team, setting clear goals, developing talent, and driving performance.
• Oversee financial scenario modelling, forecasting, and the consolidation of financial plans, ensuring they meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and support decision-making with accurate data insights.

Is this role right for you?
• A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with extensive experience in global FP&A processes, financial data management, and leadership within complex finance environments.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record in managing and developing global teams to deliver change and operational excellence.
• A deep understanding of finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), with the ability to optimize workflows and ensure data integrity.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Shared Services, Management Accounting, and External Reporting, to deliver cohesive financial strategies.
• A commitment to continuous improvement, risk management, and the development of innovative solutions for financial planning and analysis.
