Key responsibilities include:

• Set the technology roadmap and standards for database technologies covering traditional RDBMSs as well as modern NoSQL / specialised databases
• Implement and maintain full operational lifecycle procedures from deployment, to maintenance/patching, backup/recovery and decomm using extensive automation
• Provide 24x7 operational support of database systems with responsibility for uptime, overall system performance, identifying root cause and implementing improvements to avoid recurrence
• Perform security compliance activities, e.g. security reviews, implementing security controls, logging etc
• Provide end-to-end support and advisory including support required by application developers

Requirements

• Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields with good experience in multiple data or database centric roles
• Strong understanding of database concepts with deeper knowledge of Oracle and MySQL
• Experience is required in the following areas:Strong understanding of operational processes and automation
  Shell scripting, ideally using Python
  Performance, capacity planning and database/query tuning.

Qualifications

What you should have:

- Bachelor's Degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with 2+ years of relevant development experience;

- Proficiency in one or more languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, and Java in the Linux environment, along with expertise in server-side multithreading and high-concurrency processing techniques;

- Familiarity with Ceph, Minio, etc., with a preference for those who have read relevant code implementations and contributed to open-source projects;

About the Team

About the Team

Our Business Infrastructure, based in Singapore aims to provide a unified access layer and architecture depth services for the group's internal business lines and middle platform, based on the internal infrastructure, Volcano Engine (or other public clouds) two types of Infrastructure Provider, and is responsible for the group's architecture stability, architecture disaster recovery, and service experience.

What you will be doing:

- Design and develop our FaaS, building a highly available and easily expandable serverless computing platform;

- Design and develop FaaS worker Wasm and v8 runtime;

- Design high performance, low overhead data plane forwarding and optimization for cold start;

- Explore stateful Serverless Computing.

Qualifications

- Excellent programming abilities and solid foundations in data structure and algorithms;

- Practical experience with large-scale distributed systems and complex problem solving skills;

- Proven experience with one or more languages such as Go, Python, Java, Node.js, Rust.

Preferred Qualifications

- In-depth understanding of serverless computing and related fields;
