Skills

• Strong Python class based product development skills based on knowledge of design patterns

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The incumbent reports to the Information Systems Manager and will provide 1st level helpdesk and end user support and assist in the 2nd level support for infrastructure services. He/She will also perform daily server room operation, site related end user support and also support site related projects.

This position will be based at Jurong Island.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide 1st and 2nd level support

• Technical assistance and support for incoming IT Helpdesk and End User desktop queries and problems.
• Laptop/desktop/peripherals hardware and software technical support.
• Windows 7/10, Windows server, file/print/scan services, Outlook/Office 2016, Office365 suite, 2FA, LAN\WAN/Wireless network connectivity, VPN, mobile devices, meeting room audio/video conferencing systems, PABX and basic application troubleshooting.
• Perform PC/Laptop Refresh, Onboarding and off boarding of users and ensure asset inventory tracking is updated.
• Escalate issues to OEM/vendors and follow-up until the resolution of the problem.
• Out-Of-Office-Hours On-Call support.

Systems administration and maintenance

• Provide Wintel server, Active Directory, GPO, WSUS, Software deployment and system administration.
• Liaise with external vendors for any related hardware/software maintenance and services.
• Perform Installation/Configuration/Monitoring/Patching/Upgrades of desktops, servers, operating systems, antivirus, databases and other system related software.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing.

IT governance & documentation

• Involve in regular review and update of infrastructure policies, procedures and system documentation to ensure compliance.
• Plan and conduct end-users training as needed.
• Conduct quarterly IT asset counts.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Degree/Diploma in Electronic/Computer Engineering or Computer Studies or equivalent.
2. Certification in ITIL foundation, Microsoft 365 or MCSA are advantageous.
3. At least 2 years of working experience in IT helpdesk providing 1st level and 2nd level end user desktop support.
4. Strong experience in End user hardware and software technical support, Windows 7/10, Office 365 administration and Active Directory.
5. Experience in networking, storage and database administration.
6. Able to work on a rotating 2nd level Out-Of-Office-Hours support On-Call basis.
7. Knowledge of ITIL operation.
8. Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
9. Possesses good attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Administration experience of Storage Arrays of multiple vendors like EMC, Hitachi and Netapp
• Administration experience of Different Cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Hitachi midrange and enterprise storage (AMS, HUS, VSP & Gx00 etc)
• Experience on AWS Cloud Specific technologies like EC2, S3, Route53, Cloud Formation, Elastic IPs, VPC, RDS and Cloud Watch.
• Configuring Elastic Load Balancers with EC2 Auto Scaling groups.
• Optimized Volumes and EC2 Instances and created multi AZ VPC Instances
• Good Understanding of AWS Elastic Block storage(EBS), various volume types and Utilization of different types of EBS Volumes based on client requirement.
• Storage performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Incident management and change management process knowledge.
• Project handling experience from sizing to roll-out, preferably with project management background
  Strong analytical skill, very initiative, good planning & systematic execution

Position Overview: Senior Procurement Engineer

Responsible for managing the development and execution of procurement strategies and processes that align with the company’s operational goals. This key role ensures the procurement of high-quality materials and services while driving cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills and extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, the position includes managing infrequent large expenditure, procuring indirect materials and equipment, engineering consumables, and various services.

Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing procurement activities on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with budget limitations. This includes overseeing procurement budgets, providing regular expenditure updates, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. The role also covers the procurement of indirect materials and equipment.
• This position will manage the procurement of technical goods and services, ensuring that they meet project requirements and are delivered on schedule.
• The Senior Procurement Engineer will build and maintain a strong supplier network for equipment, utilities, and facilities, with an emphasis on contract negotiation to drive cost savings while ensuring the quality of supplies.
• The role involves evaluating potential suppliers based on their quality, cost, and reliability to ensure optimal vendor selection.
• The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for drafting, managing, and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), leading contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• This position requires close collaboration with teams from Engineering, Operations, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance to ensure that procurement efforts align with project timelines and regulatory requirements.
• The Senior Procurement Engineer will lead efforts to optimize inventory levels, minimize procurement costs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
• A key responsibility of this role is ensuring that all purchased materials and equipment meet required regulatory and quality standards, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in procurement engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related manufacturing industries.
• Strong expertise in procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities with attention to detail and a strategic focus on cost savings and operational efficiency.
