Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Rotating / Package Engineer to oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical engineering design and package equipment for major projects. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, and providing support through all project phases.
Job Scope:
Mechanical Systems Design and Oversight:
- Take ownership of mechanical engineering assignments, specializing in pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and package equipment.
- Act as a quality reviewer, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all mechanical deliverables.
Documentation and Specifications:
- Develop and review specifications, datasheets, and inquiry documents.
- Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations during the bidding process.
Coordination and Layout Planning:
- Collaborate with various disciplines to optimize layout designs.
- Manage vendor documentation and ensure effective vendor communication and compliance.
Site and Workshop Engagements:
- Participate in site surveys, HAZOPs, FATs, and shop inspections.
- Provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.
Interface Management:
- Address interface issues, ensuring smooth coordination among internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver timely technical resolutions to maintain project timelines.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical handling and movement studies.
- Be prepared for field assignments, including construction site duties and overseas deployments as required.
- Support departmental initiatives and fulfil tasks assigned by the Department Manager or Supervisor.
Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and packaged equipment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret client requirements, identify deviations, and propose resolutions.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams across various locations.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English and MS Office applications.
- Strong planning and coordination abilities to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 12–15 years of industry experience.
- Hands-on field experience in engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as Shell DEPs, Exxon GPs, and Chevron CES is highly advantageous.
