As an intern in Hospitality Team 1 (Protocol/F&B) for the World Aquatics Championships 2025 (WCH2025), you will assist in developing and implementing protocol plans for games and events. You will also provide support for Food & Beverage (F&B) services.
Key Responsibilities:
Protocol Planning:
• Assist in developing comprehensive protocol plans for opening and closing ceremonies, medal presentations, and other official events
• Support in defining protocol requirements for VIP guests, dignitaries, and officials
• Help create detailed event timelines and run sheets for all protocol-related activities
• Assist in coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth execution of protocol plans
• Support in preparing briefing materials for staff and volunteers on protocol procedures
• Help maintain up-to-date lists of VIPs, their requirements, Hotel bookings, schedules and transportation arrangements (day-day and airport transfers)
• Assist in organising seating arrangements for official events according to protocol guidelines
Food & Beverage Support:
• Assist in menu planning for various events, athlete dining areas, workforce meals, and VIP catering
• Help coordinate with caterers and F&B providers to ensure timely and quality service for all groups, including VIPs
• Support in maintaining inventory of F&B supplies and equipment
• Assist in monitoring food safety and hygiene standards in all F&B areas
• Help collect and analyse feedback on F&B services to identify areas for improvement
• Assist in organising special dietary requirements for athletes, officials, workforce, and VIPs
• Support in coordinating meals and dining areas for staff, volunteers, and VIP guests
• Help monitor F&B inventory for official functions, workforce meals, and VIP catering
• Assist in ensuring high-quality presentation and service standards for VIP catering events
Requirements:
• Current student or recent graduate in Event Management, International Relations, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in sports events management and protocol
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed during the event
