THE ROLE:

The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design.

The Lead Software Engineer/Assistant Manager will be part of the IT Service Management team in SIA's Information Technology Division, focusing on enhancing IT operations efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves managing initiatives to improve service quality and operational resilience, including process improvements and implementing new tools and methodologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure swift recovery from complex incidents, manage disaster recovery, and drive improvements in service availability and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for improvement within IT operations through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and performance metrics. Lead improvement projects, aligning them with business goals and IT strategies. Apply process improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or ITIL.
• Process Optimization: Analyse existing IT processes to identify inefficiencies and design streamlined processes to enhance response times, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Ensure effective adoption of new processes.
• Performance Metrics Review and Adoption: Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to monitor IT operations and improvement initiatives. Provide regular reports to senior management, utilizing data-driven insights for decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT leadership, service desk teams, and other stakeholders to address operational challenges. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and drive consensus on improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Incident Management and Resiliency: Take ownership of critical incidents, ensuring swift resolution and conducting root cause analyses. Proactively prevent defects and eliminate inefficiencies to enhance system resilience.
• ITSM Leadership and Training: Provide ITSM knowledge training to all IT teams, including remote offshore resources. Mentor team members and align ITSM ITIL practices to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology or related fields, with ITIL/Service Integration and Management (SIAM) certification. Additional certifications in ITSM CAS, CAD, or CIS are a bonus. Knowledge and certification in Business Continuity Management (BCM) preferred but not mandatory.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT Operations and IT Service Management, including process improvement. Proven proficiency in Agile methodologies for operations management.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Platform or equivalent ITSM tool is mandatory. Familiarity with network and cloud technologies (e.g., Linux, Wintel, VMware, DevOps) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, project management skills, and a proven track record of successful improvement initiatives in an IT environment. Proficiency in collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence) and monitoring/orchestration platforms (ScienceLogic, Splunk, APM).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work on strategic direction initiatives, balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and oversee operations, including Service Desk, IT Operations Command Centres, Major Incidents Handling, and Chairing Change Advisory Board reviewing teams' readiness for Major change.
• Adaptive, responsive, able to manage dynamic environments effectively, independent, self-motivated, result-driven, and willing to work beyond office hours.

• Ensure that good safety and high quality of work are being carried out by the Contractor in compliance with the statutory requirements
• To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with the Project specifications, construction drawings, and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To assist SRE in the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)
• To assist SRE in administrative control of the site staff, instill and maintain discipline, punctuality, and keep daily records of staff attendance, and other matters concerning the site staff's administrative matters.
• To oversee all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting records.
• To provide full support and assistance, as and when directed by the SRE or client

Job Description:

Study of construction drawings details and coordinate with the consultants and sub-contractors to resolve any technical/site issues.

- Ensure that works on site are carried out according to specifications/drawings.

- Produce coordination drawings and check drawings discrepancies.

- Carry out project planning, design, materials requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation.

- Ensure quality of works is achieved and safety regulations are complied with.

- Attend meetings.

- To attend regular meetings with clients representative, consultants and contractors and ensure the progress is on schedule

- To Prepare Plan and submit project related documents, such as schedules, method statement, design plan, Risk Assessment, monthly report.

Job Description:

• Takes charge of the entire engineering department, leading a team as they complete various projects
• To assist in site supervision works
• Coordinate internally with inter-department and externally with clients & consultants
• Coordinating for the project planning, documentation, and execution of works on-site
• Coordination, supervision & monitoring of the progress of the project works on site, manpower mobilization, materials planning & ordering

• Attend meetings, and conduct site inspections on work progress to ensure quality control in accordance with authority requirements.
• To carry out daily implementation of works at the site with assistance from fellow supervisors and foremen.
• To plan and ensure all implementations are carried out in accordance with the Construction program.
• Carry out daily discussions with the project team and fellow colleagues to ensure works are carried out smoothly and no re-work or clashes with other trade works.
• Study all related construction drawings and prepare and raise any RFI’s required early before implementation of the actual works.
• To prepare any necessary construction method statement and technical proposal to ensure the smooth transition of works.
• Ensure all necessary inspections in accordance with the client’s requirements are carried out accordingly, correctly, and timely.
• The plan and sequences of the construction operations are in accordance with the Project Quality Plan. Attends all necessary site progress meetings, and internal meetings as & when required.
• Keep track of submission status like shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements & all other technical submissions.
• To carry out resource planning, machinery allocations, and equipment management on a day-to-day basis to ensure works at the site are carried out smoothly.
• Coordinates and maintains constant communications with fellow colleagues from other departments like architectural, technical, and planning.
• Liaise with the client’s supervisory department for site inspections, submission of necessary technical reports, and maintaining necessary records at the site.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• More than 10 years of working experience in the related field is required
• Proficient with AutoCAD and other office software
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• Work closely with the project team to resolve technical issues
• Good attitude and communication skills
• Need to be stationed at the site (Jurong East)
• Willing to work 6 days at the project site
• Experience in LTA projects is required
