Our client is an US MNC, one of the largest players in the life-science sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting for Field Service Engineer to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located at Jurong East.

Job Requirement:

• Perform verification, calibration, and preventive maintenance (PMs) in accordance with in-house Metrology SOPs.
• Maintain calibration and qualification tools, ensuring timely upkeep.
• Coordinate with and oversee External Third-Party (3P) vendors for calibration, PMs, qualifications, and repairs.
• Ensure External 3P vendors meet Customer off-site and on-site qualifications prior to service execution.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc service requests from Laboratory End Users, adhering to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Recommend appropriate inventory levels for critical equipment parts and tools to minimize downtime and aid budget planning.
• Accurately document and manage service records, training, and asset information in the in-house Asset Management system.
• Facilitate clear communication and coordination among customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Qualifications and Criteria:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, ideally in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

· The essential tasks of Assistant Field Service Engineer consist of, but are not limited to the following:

· Support start-up, contract maintenance and other service activities with emphasis on safety and protection.

· Perform routine preventive maintenance, logging, corrective maintenance works and to carry out warranty repairs.

· Participate in service and repair of gas detectors, safety activities, emergency response, breakdown calls and ad hoc projects.

· Manage all orders efficiently until fulfilment stage, by working closely with Service team.

· Liaison with relevant parties such as customers, service supervisor, coordinators and logistic pertaining to queries, technical issues, status and deliveries.

· Ensure equipment turnaround and breakdown responses are achieved at optimal level of efficiency. To provide support to other service activities that may be assigned in the course of work

· Effective communication of technical information to employees, customers and external parties in an accurate and concise manner in both a written and verbal media.

· To participate/take up Workplace Safety & Health responsibilities/ activities as per requested by the company.

Requirements

· NTC 2 or Diploma in Electrical/Process Instrumentation/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.

· Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in service/engineering position in oil & gas, process industry.

· Knowledge in Electrical & instrumentation is pre-request.

· With class 3 driving license (not 3A).
