Job Description:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, identifying and resolving issues in critical business systems. You will work independently and collaboratively to provide innovative solutions, becoming a subject matter expert (SME) in the process. This role involves troubleshooting, engineering support, and improving application support processes, with a focus on ETL tools, data pipelines, and database management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and resolve issues within critical business systems.
· Develop and improve application support processes and strategies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
· Conduct system audits to optimize performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Provide technical guidance and support to end-users.
· Profile, cleanse, and classify data.
· Design and develop data pipelines that ingest data from various sources.
Requirements:
· Hands-on experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL.
· Knowledge of database design and data modelling (logical and physical).
· Experience with ETL tools like SAS DI, Informatica, or Talend.
· Familiarity with data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark is an advantage.
· Experience with data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
· Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a willingness to share knowledge.
Preferred Skills:
· Basic proficiency in Application Remediation, Data Replication & Synchronization, and IT Troubleshooting.
· Intermediate proficiency in ETL tools.
