The role involves end-to-end software development and system customization while ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards. Key Responsibilities:

1. System Expertise and Support:Serve as the Technical SME for the FinIQ platform and other bespoke back-office systems. Troubleshoot system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues and provide system workarounds when necessary.
2. Software Development:Analyze requirements, design solutions, and develop, customize, test, and maintain applications/platforms. Oversee development tasks, including collaborating with or mentoring team members. Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
3. Documentation and Compliance:Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation, test cases, and user/system manuals. Update system operational procedures and deliverables as needed.
4. Process and Implementation:Conduct impact analysis and effort estimation for system customizations and developments. Review source code and documentation created by peers to ensure quality standards. Coordinate production release procedures and support implementations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise:At least 5 years of experience in software development with Microsoft technologies such as .NET, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Azure. Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, especially waterfall.
• Banking Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking domain.
• Soft Skills:Effective communication, presentation, and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team. Sense of accountability, ownership, and adaptability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and establish quality assurance deliverables and testing framework, including estimate testing scope and time needed based on user requirements, create and maintain test specifications in accordance with changing requirements, throughout development;

• Create and maintain automated test framework using tools such as Cucumber/Selenium to support continuous development and testing, including prepare test environment, create and maintain functional testing scripts in accordance with changing requirements;

• Conduct application performance and security testing if needed, to ensure we have a robust and secured system in place;

• Work with Business Analyst on UAT data preparation and support;

• Work collaboratively with the rest of the technical and business team, including understanding the business/user requirements to facilitate testing, participate in desk-checks to do early validation and verify completeness of story, as well as participate in showcases to demonstrate tested stories;

• Conduct system integration tests with external parties when necessary, validate the output and expected outcome e.g. data to and from external parties’ systems and feedback on improvement requirement;

• Work with DevOps team to establish process for deployment and maintaining CI/CD pipeline

Knowledge and Skills

• Tertiary education in relevant fields is preferred

• Experience in programming in Java / Python / NodeJs is preferred

• Hands-on experience with software testing including automated functional testing tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Maven, Capybara is preferred.

• Experience doing automation testing in Agile development process will be an added advantage
