We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes over the next 6-12 months.

Mission:
Drive informed decision making within the COO’s organization by turning data from our Accounting, Corporate Secretary, FinTech and Compliance operations into actionable insights that improve the robustness and profitability of Sleek’s operations.

Outcomes: 

1/ Data reliability 
Ensuring that your analysis is at least 90% accurate, with clear understanding and explanation of what causes the 10% gap.

2/ Dashboard creation and management 
- Visualizing data in Looker Studio or Tableau, in a way that is clear and concise
- Calculation of metrics are to be consistent with existing dashboards
- Dashboards are to be prototyped with the end user in Google Sheets before created
- Efficient/ scalable solutions to be proposed to ensure long-term sustainability of dashboards
- Dashboard usage is to be reviewed every quarter those with low utilization are to be archived

3/ Documentation 
Ensure all key metrics and calculations are clearly documented in Google Docs and pinned/ linked in our internal Wiki or Slack channels.  Language should be accessible to other Data Analysts and non-technical stakeholders.

4/ Data quality recommendations
Work with Tech, Product and Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust and efficient, so that Big Query is maintained as best as possible.

5/ Collaborate with other Data Analysts 
Even though you’ll be embedded within the functional team and working independently, you’ll need to contribute to an inclusive, friendly, knowledge sharing culture with other DAs, so that everyone is aware of each other's workstreams/ sprints, challenges and learnings.

To do this, you will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Data Analyst.

Job Description – Analyst

We are looking for a Analyst to join our Asia Pacific Actuarial team based in Singapore. In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team and you will have an outsized influence on the strategic direction of the practice.

In this role you will: a) be part of our Oliver Wyman Asia Pacific Actuarial team closely working with the team in Hong Kong on projects in Asia Pacific, b) work with our US Actuarial team, and c) collaborate closely with our existing Oliver Wyman Insurance Consulting, Mercer Consulting and broader Marsh McLennan teams in Singapore.

The Analyst will play a key role in the delivery of projects for Oliver Wyman’s clients, which include top tier insurance companies, reinsurance companies, investment banks, regulators, and private equity firms.

Potential projects may include:

• Creation and analysis of financial projections
• Insurance mergers & acquisitions
• Capital markets transactions support
• Product development
• Financial reporting
• Pricing assumption
• Model methodology review

Potential responsibilities may include:

• Client and industry presentations, surveys, case studies
• Work in partnership with our management consulting and strategy practice
• Contribute to sales revenue through developing proposals and delivering client pitch meetings
• Thought leadership, including oversight and/or creation of intellectual capital
• Operate with a high degree of personal responsibility and accountability for delivery of project work

Skills and Attributes

• Progressing on actuarial exams, with 1+ years of professional experience.
• Track record of rapid learning, high performance, and professional growth
• Preference for knowledge of the life insurance market in Singapore and Southeast Asia, including insurance regulations or reporting bases, such as Singapore RBC2, IFRS-17, embedded value reporting etc.
• Strong preference for candidates with prior consulting and client management experience
• Strong preference for expertise in actuarial modeling software (e.g. Prophet)
• Preference for recent hands-on experience supporting on IFRS 17 implementations in Singapore and Southeast Asia
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent time management skills
• Deep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving ability
• Highly motivated individual and willingness to work in a dynamic environment independently
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
