Assist the Finance and Regulatory Manager in overseeing the Finance Department for the Singapore and Hong Kong Branches.

Role:

• Record accounting entries in the electronic accounting system for both Singapore and Hong Kong Branches.
• Prepare cheques for signature and handle cheque payments.
• Scan and maintain electronic records of invoices and documentation for the Singapore and Hong Kong Branches.
• Organize and file hardcopy invoices and documents.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to the finance department.
• Consolidate invoices and supporting documents, ensuring proper approvals are obtained from managers.
• Manage and record petty cash and travel cash forms.
• Support the preparation of GST returns for the Singapore Branch.
• Ensure timely processing of invoice payments and credit card expenses (non-overseas travel) for both branches.
• Collaborate with the Central Finance Team to enhance internal finance processes.
• Provide assistance to the Central Finance Team when required.
• Issue debit notes and invoices to intercompany parties or external entities.
• Reconcile intercompany balances at the end of each quarter.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency in management accounting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, audit documentation, ESG sustainability reports, and variance analysis to meet reporting deadlines.
• Lead forecasting, budget planning, and cost management while providing actionable financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements, including GST, MAS reporting, and SGX announcements.
• Manage liquidity, oversee cash flow, authorize payments, and review reconciliations for accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and bankers for year-end audits and tax filings.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify and drive process improvements in reporting, budgeting, and financial systems.
• Support ad-hoc assignments, including system implementation projects.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent, with CA, CPA, or ACCA certification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience working in a Bank or Financial Institution.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS and Singapore tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent analytical skills, and leadership abilities.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as Finance Executive, reporting to the Finance Manager. The role should have hands-on experience in handling finance operations across group entities. The individual would have strong attention to detail, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and is a self-starter.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily accounting & finance duties, including receivables and payables processing, general ledger maintenance, tax, and bank reconciliation.
• Perform receipt posting accurately on all payment modes and reconciliation functions in the accounting systems.
• Review cash flow positioning, including periodic forecast records.
• Respond to billing inquiries from customers and resolve billing discrepancies in accordance with established procedures (if any).
• Responsible for month-end and year-end financial closing including account reconciliation, monthly financier reporting, and financial statements review.
• Process monthly staff claim reimbursement e.g., entertainment, transport, and other expenses.
• Assist with quarterly GST reporting and other statistical submissions, and support audit and tax queries.
• Liaison with banks regarding banking transactions.
• Ensure records & documentation, and approvals are sought and properly filed; identify and implement workflow improvements to strengthen internal controls and/or enhance efficiency.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or related field; Professional qualifications are welcome to apply (e.g., CPA/ACCA)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Self-starting, able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• A hands-on person, meticulous and efficient in MS Office especially MS Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Highly committed team player.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets, schedules, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Record and monitor fixed asset activities, including generating fixed asset reports and maintaining schedules and related financial tasks.
• Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and tax requirements, including preparing and submitting necessary reports.
• Comply with internal control standards, including financial and operational policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in year-end audits, preparing financial statements and notes in accordance with accounting standards and Group policies.
• Support the seamless integration of new financial accounting processes for changes like new businesses and departments.
• Engage in creating, testing, and reviewing functional requirements to enhance financial operating systems as needed.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in accounting or finance role.
• Accounting knowledge will be added advantage
• Immediate starter is preferred
