The Role
Reporting to Director of Finance, you shall ensure the overall effective financial management, planning and reporting for the Group to support business growth locally and globally. Responsible for the flow of financial information to the board and executive team and where necessary, external parties such as investors or financial institutions. Ensure the timeliness of financial reporting per various regulatory requirements, such as the SGX, IRAS and ACRA.
You shall lead a sizeable team in finance (local and oveseas) to diligently review reports on corporate earnings, profits, cash flow taxation and other financial matters. Formulating financial strategies and plans for the company (including subsidiaries and associated companies) as per directives sat by the Board of Directors or the Executive Director. Evaluate the investment climates in the regions that the company has vested interest and/or has expressed an interest. Analyses the financial impact of new programmes and recommends those that will provide a desirable return on investment. Assist in financial planning and treasury management to support the business objectives.
You shall work closely with Head of Operation, Projects to review, approve and oversee the execution of business plan for the Project/Division, ensuring that they are carried out effectively and that continuous efforts are being made to refine and improve the business activities in the region. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the taxation laws to apply them to varying tax situations. ln consultation with tax agents, carries out tax planning to optimize the company's tax liabilities or incentives.
Your Profile
You should possess a university degree in Accountancy or Business Administration, with at least 15 years of experience in controllership and financial planning, including prior audit experience, preferably in similar or related industries. Experience with SGX reporting and familiarity with SGX regulations in a small to mid-cap company are compulsory. Regional finance exposure and experience in dealing/managing overseas finance teams are advantageous. Professional accounting qualification such as CA/CPA is a plus. The candidate should have strong analytical, meticulous, leadership, and communication skills, independent, and able to handle high levels of pressure.
